this is a weird request. can you help a transman and their wife move out of a controlling parent's grasp and out of a red state?

spoiler alert: its not even our parents.

we moved in with a friend because he made the mistake of buying a house when he didn't have the means to and needed help paying for bills, and we needed to move into a place that let us live in more than just a single room.

now we're constantly harassed by his parents because they think he shouldn't have let us move in and should have let someone of their own choosing move in. they go through our stuff, and weekly visits to "clean" because they think we're all incompetent and dig their noses into places they shouldn't be. Just today they introduced new potential housemates without warning or any communication, and just before that they stormed our storage room and began organizing and cleaning it without asking or warning. We cannot go back to being shoved into a single room again.

With the upcoming political climate, living as a afab trans POC (and native, at that) in a red state like South Carolina is going to be insanely dangerous. I've already been preached to, I've already been harassed at work, and it's dangerous for us to even live in the area we do, since the further from downtown you are, the more red it gets. and we're at the edge of the county.

I know there's a lot of GFMs going around right now, but we aren't in a safe spot, and we have friends in northeast that might help us. We just don't have the means to get there.

If you can, please help us move up north, if you'd like to help us pay bills for the time being, or if you'd like some commissions from my amazing wife ( @parememi ).

In this picture, my 19-month-old son, Hamoud, holds a small Christmas tree amidst the rubble that was once our home. His eyes, full of confusion and sorrow, are a reflection of all the children here who have never known peace. Christmas for Hamoud isn’t about celebration. It’s about survival.

Hamoud’s life is defined by hunger, fear, and cold. He deserves so much more. He deserves to play, to laugh, to have the warmth of a home, and the joy of childhood. But for now, he’s fighting for the basic things every child should have—food, safety, and warmth

I, Kareman, his mother, ask you to help us give him a future. The donations you make won’t go to luxuries. They will buy food to fill his belly, clothes to protect him from the cold, and maybe, just maybe, a way to escape this nightmare to a safer place.

An update on Bilal's situation

Hello everyone. This is Dennis, the person who's been promoting Bilal's fundraiser since August.

Bilal (@belalgaza2 , formerly @/shadowyavenuetaco) moved to Egypt on day 150 of the occupation (March 6th, 2024) along with some of his family members. His whole family did not come with him, though. For example, his uncle Mohammed (whose fundraiser you can find here) had to stay behind.

While Bilal is not in imminent danger, he still needs our help. You can't deprive someone of water after rescuing them from the desert.

Amina is a 28 year old mother of three: Nasser (8), Bara (4) and Adam (2). She’s fundraising in hopes of saving her children from this genocide and getting the money to feed them and give them a safe future. They’ve already been displaced five times and are struggling very badly to find food and water and everything they need to survive, and even when they find it it’s extremely expensive. It’s every parents worst nightmare to see their children suffering but not have the means to give them food and get them to safety. These children deserve to live healthy and safe, not have to hear the sounds of bombs every day. Amina is not asking for much, only whatever you can give to save her children. The sun has barely peaked it’s head out from behind the hills when a loud bell goes off waking up the citizens and soldiers. The sky is a blue bell tinged cyclamen, and the tents a charcoal man-made backdrop. L’manburg, under it’s new lack-of-name, was being rebuilt, and the scene was everything post-war-torn weaved into a single image. Tommy watched the determined people rushing about to their stations, one leg hanging off the far cliff. There was not a thought behind his eyes but a confusing pool of emotions, and he watched the people -less than a speck from this distance- even as the sun clawed up the skies, only drudging away only once it was at it’s peak.
