Tomura being the ācaringā alpha he is~
I mentioned in the first Humanformers post that the humansā cybertrionian forms had their own lives before their abilities were transferred to the new team. So I thought it would be fun to share more about their character and their backgrounds in this AU. If the original team are nothing like they are in the show, thatās the point, those personalities go to the new team.
TFA AU Humanformers
Humanformers Characters 2
Optimus Prime: He was Second-In-Command of the Autobot army and a close confidant of Ultra Magnus himself. He was regarded as a great leader and many thought he would be come the next magnus. He was seen as stoic, brave, wise, and always knew what to do. But you donāt get to a position as high as him without having to make a few sacrifices, but he would try not to dwell on those sacrifices for too long, because it was all for the greater good as the needs of many outweigh the needs of a few, and besides, whatās done and is done, he canāt go back, even if he wants to. He wouldnāt share these feelings with anyone, not even Ultra Magnus.
Ratchet: Considered the best medic in the Autobot army, Ratchet was also a close friend to Ultra Magnus. Despite his gruff exterior,Ā he was seen as the best of the best, there was no injury he couldnāt fix, and he had been able to pass his skills and knowledge down to others, such Red Alert. But in a way, he was placed on a pedestal, so when there were patients that he couldnāt help, it hit him hard. And physically, he could fix people, but psychological/mental/emotional was another story. And he wasnāt good at taking care of himself, emotionally, so he would often pour himself into his work to distract himself.
Prowl: A talented Cyberninja, trained by the best, Yoketron himself. He is seen as the kind of Cyberninja all others should aspire to be. He was a master of stealth, a skilled fighter, and something of a spy master. But despite his great skill, he isnāt without his own secrets. He technically didnāt finish his training because his master died before he could master Processor Over Matter, and his reasons of joining the War are not as noble as others think. He primarily joined to find the bot that killed Yoketron and get his revenge. Naturally, he wouldnāt tell anyone this and while he would serve the the Autobots army loyally, his number one concern is killing the bot that killed his master.
Bulkhead: He was a fierce wrecker, admired by AutobotsĀ for his strength and even feared by both Decepticons and Autobots. He is one of the toughest wreckers the Autobots have known and is said to be proud of his strength and have a fierce temper, wanting to hit first and ask questions later. But the truth is he was much smarter and softer than others thought he was. He was knowledgeable on space bridges and didnāt really have such a bad temper, in fact, he was quite sensitive. But in a time of War, being soft would be seen as weak, and no one would ever believe he was anything more than a dumb brute, so at that point, he let others think whatever they thought, he didnāt bother trying to convince them otherwise, no matter how much he hated it.
Bumblebee: Although he was just a scout at the time, he was still someone to be respected. He managed to climb ranks very quickly despite his young age. He was a bot of few words, but took his job seriously and was ready to fight with his speed and agility. But he was still young, almost a child, so having to fight in a war at a young age can take a toll on you. So despite the praise and respect he would get from fellow soldiers and superiors, it wasnāt enough to help him handle all the horrific things the War makes him see, but keeps these feelings to himself so he doesnāt seem like a scared child and lose respect he worked hard to earn.
Orion Fanzone: The only son and child of Captain Fanzone, Orion is something of a boyscout. Heās polite, smart, and with a good sense of right and wrong. Though he would be insecure and a bit shy, and being the Captain son may have part in this. Growing up he was either pressured to follow his fatherās footsteps or teased for being a copās kid, with jerks thinking that he didnāt need to have any actual skill, his dad would help him get whatever job he wants. While he did want to join law enforcement, he ultimately decides not to because he fears the bullying could true, that being the captainās son would risk special treatment and he wouldnāt actually have the skills needed. He never tells his father these fears and simply goes study engineering at college, thinking it was a safe enough job where he could help others.. Despite his insecurities, he has genuine potential to be a great leader and hero, and becoming a giant robot will help him realize that, even with some hiccups along the way.
Rowen OāDonnell: Heās a veteranĀ medic and a doctor for the local hospital, though at this point, heās more of a medical consultant, but hasnāt lost his skill. And as mentioned, heās a family friend to the Fanzones, having known Orion since he was a kid, as he was their family doctor. Heās grumpy old man and very serious, but he cares deeply for his loved ones, knows the importance of making sure your health, physically, mentally, and emotionally. As a robot, he does the least amount of fighting, but as he served in the military, he would provide fighting tips to his teammates and is willing to lend and ear if any of them need someone to talk to and encourages them speak about whatās bothering them, knowing firsthand keeping it to yourself isnāt good.
Pierce Roberts: A lone park ranger, heās a man who takes his job very seriously and does it well. He is, of course, a loner preferring the company of animals and plants over the company of humans. He chose to become a park ranger to preserve what little nature was left in Detroit, and to keep it from be destroyed by more machines. He would actually share Fanzoneās resentment towards machines. When he isnāt doing superhero stuff, he would actually use his new powers to protect as much of nature as he can, and yes, he is aware of the irony of the situation. After hanging out with the rest of the crew, he would learn to tolerate other people better. He may be stoic and even grumpy, but get close to him, and his a compassionate and loyal friend.
Benjamin āBenā Hudson: He is a college freshman who is majoring in art. He may come off as a big brute, but he is much softer and smarter than people give him credit for, and he makes sure others know it too. Heās sweet, sensitive, and harbors an artistic soul. Despite not liking peopleās first impression of him, he tries not to let it bother him too much, as long he knows and people close to him know who really is. As a robot, he would be frustrated at the accidental destruction he causes and hates that heās basically being the dumb brute people think he is. But with the help of his friends, he would get better at managing his strength and would find constructive and creative uses of his abilities, primarily for his art.
Barry Baker: The youngest of his team, Barry is only a high school senior by the time he joins the team. So he is rather childish, impulsive, reckless, and immature. But heās also brave, a good friend, knows how to stay positive and hopeful even in bad situations, and really does want to do whatās right, which is a big reason why he chose to become a hero. He would honestly be the only one to really like his new powers and would find many ways to use and abuse his new abilities, which naturally get him into trouble. But heāll learn to stop treating the situation like its a game and take things more seriously, while not losing his sense of excitement and fun.
Megatron: Still the Leader of the Decepticons and would be the first Cybertronian to know that the New Crew isnāt the same team he fought years ago, so he wouldnāt consider them a threat at first. After his revival, he would often taunt the new crew at how they are nothing compared to their predecessors and Megatron, knowing their identities, would threaten to go after their loved ones and even threaten to expose their identities to the world. He is much more manipulative and sadistic to the Crew. But as they continue to foil his plans, he kind of snaps, begins to think that they truly are the bots he fought all those years ago, somehow managed to come back just to infuriate him.
Sari: The first human to learn the identityĀ of the new superhero group and would be their ally and friend. She actually wouldāve been the one who suggests they become superheroes, and tries to be part of the action, even when they want her to stay away and safe. She would pretty much be the same as she was in the show. When sheās forced out of her home after her Dad goes missing, sheās temporarily adopted by Orion, and while there would difficulty adjusting, they would manage. She would see Orion as a second dad, Rowen and even Captain Fanzone as grandpas, Pierce as an uncle-figure, and Ben and Barry as older brothers.
Prof. Sumdac: When he first sees the team, remembering how he found the body of Megatron years ago. he would admittedly think their aliens, which isnāt entirely wrong, but to keep their secrets, the new team wouldnāt correct him. He knows Sari likes them, and has seen her with them, he doesnāt the full extent of her relationship with them. When Megatron awakens, he assumes heās friends with the others and asks questions. Megatron knows this an manipulates Profs. Sumdac to makes things more difficult for the new team, such as telling false things about them to the Professor and watch as they struggle to maintain their cover. When he learns the truth, heās horrified at what heās done and only learns who the new heroes really are afterward.
Captain Fanzone: The Captain of the Police Department and the father of Orion. He would still be annoyed with machines and he would not be fond of the new robot heroes at first. He would very much love his son, but wishes he would be more confident. He may be a tough parent, but he would only be like that because he knows Orion is capable of more. He would always be ready to give his son advice and support whenever he needs it and the two have a pretty good relationship. When Orion starts keeping secrets from him, he canāt resist sneaking around to figure out whatās going on with his kid. When he finally does, he is furious, that not only his son is one of those giant robots, but that Orion has been endangering himself time and after time and didnāt even tell him, his own father. He would at first, be against it, but eventually begrudgingly accepts it.Ā
This isnāt all the characters in this AU or in the whole TFA universe, just the key characters of this AU. I plan to make a post about the Elite Guard and more of the Decepticons in the future. Maybe a few other characters as well, but Iām not entirely sure.
Lingering spirit.

Bruh, Tomura and Deku could've been some real bros... And it's crazy cuz they are enemies. Tomura treated Deku with more respect better than Izuku's own middle school class and his damn childhood "friend" Bakugou who told him to kill himself and treated him like shit. Don't care for the "apology", Bakugou was simply being a "think he better than everyone" fucking bully and should've never done it at all, plus it took him how long to say it?- C'mon dawg... Ever since the mall scene , yea Tomura threatened Izu and held him hostage, ok? He a villain. It kinda proved they could sit and chat like friends. Tomura just simply wanted to talk, if he wanted Izuku dead he deadass could've killed him then and there. But he choose not to. Not Tomura's fault, dude was literally lied to and manipulated to do nothing but hate and destroy. In the end to me, Shiggy proved he had no hate towards Deku, telling him to do his best, and smiling to him through spirit. Obviously...Shiggy is chill and respectful af.
I never posted the full thing here, so I thought why not, since I'm struggling to get anything new down lol. Just copy and pasted from twitter, so forgive any weird formatting or errors!
I started this not knowing where I wanted to go with it, just knowing '10 years after being gone from japan, old man yaoi afomight come back because Toshinori has a bleeding heart and AfO is along for the ride' . And I didn't know what I wanted to show exactly, just the comfort and ease at which the two acted with one another.
AfO's gonna join Toshi at the railing and hold out a hand. Knowing what he wants, Toshi's gonna pull out a pack of cigarettes and let AfO take one.
"I don't know why I still carry these." Toshi says, watching as AfO lights the cigarette with a flicker of a stolen fire quirk. "
Habit." AfO says. "The lingering effects of the leash around my neck. Does it bother you?"
All Might quirks a brow. "What? The fact that I have to carry your shit for you, even now?"
AfO chuckles. That wasn't what he meant, and Toshi knows it. That's answer enough really - the experiments, the chip in his brain (even now long destroyed), the torture that AfO went through at the hands of the HPSC - of course it still bothered Toshi.
Coming back to japanā¦
It's weighing on Toshi. He's here to help his former students, even though he's retired officially as a hero. Vigilantism is still frowned upon, but no-one has the balls to tell All Might to keep to the sidelines, especially now that he has a few quirks on his side. And AfO. And isn't that funny? AfO has stated many times that he refuses to lend a hand. Toshi's alright with that. He's alright with the company alone. He still marvels at the fact that AfO still kept himself leashed to-
(Guilt, self hatred, Toshi still hasn't let them go. His former enemy could throw him that crooked grin that he'd hated so much in the past and Toshi would just melt these days.)
Toshi let out a heavy breath. Being back here⦠it was making it so much harder to rationalize his thoughts. His emotions. AfO stood by his side through all the meetings, appearing bored out of his mind and throwing in many a snide remark, and Toshi looked at him and thought 'I should hate this man.'
He didn't, though. The heroes, his former students scurried around the former demon lord like he was going to snap at any minute. Tenko refused to be in the same city as him. Izuku and Katsuki watched AfO with a single minded determination to put him down before he can even think to make a move, and only Toshi knew that AfO really had no intention to shatter the tentative truce in place.
Only Toshi knew AfO had other plans. He always had other plans. Some Toshi knew the details of, some he didn't, and there was a time when that would have terrified him. 15 years to spend together, through danger after dangerā¦
Toshi knew AfO.
The doubts, when they appeared, didn't last.
"Does it bother you?" Toshi tossed the question back, and AfO paused, cigarette to his lips. Hazy white eyes drift to meet Toshi's, and the former hero marvels at just how easy it was to read AfO now.
AfO was disgruntled.
"Yes, and no." AfO said. "I don't care about your little students." A pause, and AfO's eyes gain a focus that has Toshi's hackles raising. "Hm. No, I suppose I do. But not because they all fear me or I feel any guilt for what I did to them."
A long time ago, Toshi would have flinched. He didn't even bat an eye now, even as he thought of Tenko and the sheer torment that All for One put that boy through.
(Guilt, guilt, guilt...)
"No, your one boy... Izuku Midoriya." AfO's gaze dropped focus again, his form relaxing when Toshi didn't bite at him defensively at the sound of his former students name. Toshi stood there, listening. "Or rather, One for All. And my brother."
Toshi hummed. His focus is intent. "Are you going to try taking it back again?"
AfO didn't look at him. Eyes unfocused again, cigarette dangling from between his fingers, burning away without being used. Toshi waited patiently. "... I said I would not." All for One finally said as he came back to himself. There's a tension to his mouth now. He's unhappy about it. "Your trust was hard enough to earn as it was. However..."
AfO is in Toshi's personal space now, a wall of heat pushing back the encroaching chill of the evening. Toshi braced a hand against the railing and shifted to face him, brow quirked. AfO always did like to crowd when he wanted to make a point or had something important to say.
"Do you remember what I said to you that last night we were here?" There's that crooked grin again, charming and threatening and so very well practiced. "When you played at hero when you didn't need to? When you were bleeding out and I had to carry you to safety?"
Toshi swallowed a sudden lump in his throat. "When - yes, what are you getting at?"
AfO finally brings the cigarette to his lips and takes a lazy drag. Smoke curls through the air, and Toshi breaths it in with shiver, remembering a time when he would have doubled over, unable to breathe.
"I can't fault you for being a hero." AfO said. "It's who you are at your core. You're the perfect hero, and I so utterly adore that. You're here to help, because of course you are, you're All Might."
Even when praising him it sounds condescending.
"But I want you to remember what I told you then." AfO flicked the cigarette carelessly to the ground and crushed it under the heel of his shoe. "About what will happen if your heroism gets the best of you, and you end up killing yourself."
At that, Toshi winced. Ah.
(a preview of THAT is this)
(imagine Toshi's head in AfO's lap after being shot by the president of the HPSC lmao...)
AfO's smile is all threat. "If you let your heroism get the best of you, and you end up killing yourself, then know that there is nothing left to prevent me from completing my initial goals and taking One for All for myself."
It wasn't the healthiest of ultimatums.
But it was one Toshi remembered laughing at after hearing it for the first time. Live, because if not then AfO would turn back into the supervillain he was at heart? 'Live, or else I kill everything you hold dear?' He'd thought it was kind of sweet. Hadn't wanted to question why.
Still doesn't want to question why. Even now, he finds it kind of sweet. Knows its... messed up.
He smiles at All for One, feeling warm. "Don't worry about me. I don't plan on dying anytime soon."
"Good boy." All for One croons, and his arms snake around Toshi's waist.
They stand together in silence for a moment, and the evening sky deepens around them. AfO breaks the silence. "I feel you should know it's actually quite difficult to behave. I'm showing remarkable restraint."
Toshi snorts against AfO's neck, muffling his laughter. "Good boy."
Well shit. Fisherman Shigs pulled up something nice from the deep sea.
Inspired from a fanfic..
Happy Birthday to Shigaraki Tomura, aka Tenko Shimura. No other character will ever replace him. I love this man so fucking much.
He's perfect. He's King.
