I Hope All Of You Get The Chance To Sleep On The Floor Of An Old University Building With Current Protests

i hope all of you get the chance to sleep on the floor of an old university building with current protests we’re all pretty much living in communes a different stranger is making me coffee every morning i’m making toast for four other people i vaguely know almost every night i have a huge sleepover and cover sleeping people with blankets so they don’t catch a cold and smoke in the parking lot with strangers so i don’t disturb sleeping people in my office all of those people became by brothers our professors and staff are just hanging out with us it doesn’t matter if we like each other we have to protect one another in every way possible

another heavy handed symbolism moment: my mom has a potted sunflower in the kitchen. because it is a sunflower, it keeps turning towards the light from the window. my mother keeps rotating it so it faces inward because she wants "to see its beautiful petals and have it really brighten up the space!" . the sunflower is visibly wilting .
