in honor of valentine’s day here’s a little snippet from my current wip! in which remus has a very embarrassing meet-cute (or is it a meet-ugly? idk) with sirius on an airplane

I needed to represent this moment because I think we don’t talk enough about how heartbreaking this night was for Lupin.

That night, the wounds of the war reopened. His world crumbled at his feet, and everything he believed to be true turned out to be a lie. For the first time in 12 years, he could see everything with clarity… and that clarity didn’t bring peace, only pain. He started thinking about how this would change his world entirely. He felt like *he* was the traitor—for not trusting his heart sooner.

For years, he lived with guilt, loss, and isolation, thinking he had already endured the worst. But learning the truth pulled the ground from under him. He didn’t just lose James, Lily, Peter and Sirius—he lost his trust in himself. And now, seeing it all clearly, he’s left with nothing but regret and the quiet ache of betrayal—toward his friends, and toward his own soul.

And this is all my heart and thoughts into this piece, love you 💗🫂 hope you like it ✨

Remus chooses to believe that he is simply growing as a person and learning to challenge his anxiety instead of letting it hold him back, rather than it having anything to do with how intense his feelings for Sirius are. Because they aren't. Intense. They're just...feelings. Regular feelings. The exact normal amount of feelings that should be expected on the way to a second date.

I don't fucking care if you "just" used it for ideas or to "polish" your writing because english is not your first language - I literally don't care. If you lack ideas then maybe rn is not the time to create but to experience to gain access to the creativity you obviously lack. If you can't write English well? Then learn it. Do it badly. Honestly, I'd rather read terrible grammar and spelling than ai crap.

Get a fucking grip, people.

Saying that Dumbledore had to trick, force, coerce, manipulate, or anything else along those lines to get the marauders to join the Order of the Phoenix hugely takes away the marauders powerful desire to fight fascism, and their disdain for Voldemort’s rhetoric and those that followed it.

Those are core tenants of who they are.

They, and the rest of the Order, signed up as adults to fight an ideological war that would see the people they loved and cared about killed or, frankly, worse.

“What was there to be gained by fighting the most evil wizard who has ever existed?" said Black, with a terrible fury in his face. "Only innocent lives, Peter!"
