A Lakeland Woman Was Charged Tuesday After Police Said She Ended A Call To An Insurance Company With

A Lakeland woman was charged Tuesday after police said she ended a call to an insurance company with the words, “Delay, Deny, Depose.” [...] “She’s been in this world long enough that she certainly should know better that you can’t make threats like that in the current environment that we live in and think that we’re not going to follow up and put you in jail,” said Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor. [...] However, Boston added that she does not own any firearms and “was not a danger to anyone,” police said.

Boston was charged with threats to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, according to the affidavit. “My client is 42, married mother of three. Never had any criminal charges or convictions. May you release her on her own recognizance,” her attorney Jim Headley said to a judge during her first appearance in court. However, the judge set her bond at $100,000, stating, “I do find that the bond of $100,000 is appropriate considering the status of our country at this point.”

I think one of the weirdest things from this site- and I acknowledge this is gonna be really fucking weird if you’ve never seen it but it’s still a thing- is when asexual people say “asexuals can still have sex for various reasons such as being in a relationship with someone and wanting to help make them feel good!” and there would be people saying “wow this is rape don’t you know that’s rape you’re getting raped Asexuals Condone Rape Asexuals Are Pro-Rape and Problematic” like they were basically accusing asexuals of being rape apologists for their own “rape” that they explicitly consent to

Like, it always came from ppl really into this whole “soft edgelord” thing of hating asexuals and posting “I am Unironically Aphobic” so like do people seriously think a single person is gonna assume anything they say is in good faith

Folks have got to understand that they probably aren't messed up by some Secret Big Trauma that they just can't remember; but rather by a million tiny microtraumas that they do mostly remember but don't even register as traumatic because nobody actually understood that these things would cause trauma, much less stack on each other over the years.
