This is Comet PanSTARRS! π π π
This gif was created throughout the night of July 25th and you can see the potentially interstellar comet in motion.Β

This is theΒ PleiadesΒ in culmination! β¨β¨β¨
Just a few weeks ago, this cluster culminated in the south - meaning that they reached their highest point and appeared its brightest. Thankfully, the telescopes were open briefly for me to take a quick picture! β₯β₯β₯

This is the Rosette Nebula! πΉπΉπΉ
This is definitely the best image I have taken of this giant molecular cloud! This nebula is a star forming region with hot, blue newborn stars at its center that is shaping this region to form a beautiful flower-like shape. As seen from Earth, this nebula appears almost 5 times larger than the full Moon! β¨β¨β¨

This is Altair!Β β¨β¨β¨
As a part of the Summer Triangle asterism, this is the brightest star in the constellation Aquila. With a mass of almost 2 times the Sun and a rotational speed of 240 km/s, this star is actually more of an oval shape as it flattens out! πππ

This is the Trifid Nebula! πππ
This nebulaβs unique name comes from the 3 dark bands of dust that traverse its center. Despite the nebula itself holding many massive stars, it is no longer undergoing star formation because these highly radiative stars have blown a lot of the dust away! π«π«π«

This is the Lunar Eclipse of May 15th, 2022! πππ
As the Earthβs shadow covers the Moon, it appears to disappear into darkness. This is just one of 85 lunar eclipses that will occur in the 21st century. If you missed this one, donβt worry! The next total lunar eclipse will occur on November 8th, 2022. ππβ¨
