Taking the time to make a little nestling space for yourself.

The urge to curl up in blankets and relax on the warm moss-filled floor of a twiggy, dimly lit nest corner and recede into the feathers of your wings.

Imagining yourself soaring out over the tops of mountainscapes and lakes. Brushing your fingers along the grass or water surface.

Taking time out of your day to indulge in your own self-image. Your true image.

Once again with the “am I a bird?” thoughts. I just remembered when I was little wanting to lay down on Easter eggs and fantasize about them hatching. I always felt sad I would never really be able to hatch eggs of my own. I also remember pretending they were bird or dragon eggs. Am I a dragon???

I want to be free.

To soar across the infinite skies.

To run my fingers through a lake as I glide over top of it.

To cling to a telephone pole and sit atop a streetlight.

To sit up high, maybe a rooftop, maybe a building ledge, anything at all, where nobody can bother me.

I want someone to preen my wings 😔

What kind of dragon?

this is what I believe I looked like, but I dont know what to call it? what Is the name of this dragon species?

Any artists here who draws themselves as their kintype differently than what they’d actually look like?

For example, as a light fury, I KNOW that I literally just look like the Light Fury from the movie. However, when I draw myself, I like to personalize how I look more by drawing myself like this instead:

So anyone else make “OC” version of their kintype that has more artistic freedom when drawing yourselves, or do you just stick to what you would actually look like?
