“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” And at once they left their nets and followed Him. Matthew 4:19-20
Jesus invited Peter and Andrew to follow Him. And at once they left their nets and followed Him. The response from Peter and Andrew was immediate. When they encountered Jesus, there was no question if He was the One worth following; they knew. They were willing to give up everything for what the Lord had for them. That meant leaving their business, everything they were familiar with and move to the unknown.
Today, He is inviting us to follow Him. Are we willing to follow His lead. Are we willing to give up things that displease Him? Are we willing to do the things He's been asking us to go?
Week 4 - Kansas City Chiefs vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mahomes for 3 TD, 1 INT & 249 Yds in the 41-31 victory on SNF.
The Lord says, “In the day of trouble, call on Me. I will deliver you and you will glorify Me” (Psalm 50:15).
It pleases the Lord when we run to Him with our problems, our pain and burden, instead of going from this person to that and trying to figure it out ourselves. What father wants his child to be under a load of care? People may get tired of hearing our problems and say, “Don’t bother me. Figure it out yourself.” We feel they don't seem to understand our desperate state. But God says, “Cast all your burdens on Me, for I care for you! Bring them to Me!” Oh, what an awesome God we serve! He alone is our burden bearer. He alone truly loves us and cares for us.
