it's time once more for INSCRYPTOBER! the annual art/writing-based inscryption event for the fandom to get creative and share cool art and writing for the spooky season!
just like last year, we have one theme per week! though these themes are explained in the post above, you may take any degree of creative license that you like in carrying them out; and, of course, there's no lower limit on participation. like last year, i'll likely be doing one or two art pieces a week, and you all can choose to participate as much or as little as you'd like depending on your own schedules and creative stamina! this event is for fun, not stress ^^
i've been seeing some hype already for this year's event, so i'm super excited to see what everyone creates!
special thanks to @shoot-the-clown2, @naturallydark, and @dookins for contributing to this year's themes! and thanks to everyone else who suggested possibilities in my inbox and last post as well ^^
themes transcrybed in plain text under the cut:
Inscryptober 2023
Week 1 - Oct 1-7
Corruption:
To start off, we’re getting [DATA REDACTED]! Inscryption is full of corrupted data, characters, and video game companies! ‘Tis the week for some evil, broken biz to go down!
Week 2 - Oct 8-14
Cinema:
The pop culture pandemonium week! Put your fave scrybes in your fave movie, make a poster for an Inscryption film of any genre, or just try out a cinematic composition or two!
Week 3 - Oct 15-21
Ancient History:
OLD_DATA, and old secrets…this is the week to explore Inscryption’s mysterious past, both within the disk and outside of it!
Week 4 - Oct 22-28
Switcheroo:
The swap week! Swap up the scrybes, swap up the story, or anything else you like; the goal with this one is to switch it up!
Bonus - Oct 29-31
Harvest:
It’s Halloween time! Whether spooky or cozy, these days are your free space to get some autumn vibes going for the height of the holiday!
Get Inscrybing!
Special note: Inscryption’s anniversary is the 19th!
Inscryptober Week 1: Transformation
I got kinda busy this month, so I'm a bit late. Just a bit. But I'm determined to participate, dammit, so now you get MS Paint shitposts from me, huzzah!
Anyways, I got a little bit literal about week 1's prompt and created the crossover of my dreams, and probably also P03's dreams. Mags and Grim-Gram of course transform into their animal forms from Act 1, and Leshy transforms into an elk.
Inscryptober Week 3: Crossover
I wrote a crackfic for my Inscryption/FRIENDS AU for this week’s Inscryptober prompt but it’s almost too absurd to share so here’s this much more wholesome drawing I made a few months ago. If you have any spare braincells knocking around in your brain that you want gone, check below the cut for the fic.
Okay, you asked for it. Make sure you check the tags before reading, and don’t say I didn’t warn you. https://archiveofourown.org/works/42504768
