As others have mentioned, the purpose of Israel banning UNRWA has nothing to do with Hamas or October 7th. It has everything to do with cutting off Palestinians from an international institution that, along with vital aid, provides legal recognition of their right of return. Samir's condition is deteriorating and his siblings are forced to watch on, helplessly.

Having written that previous post though it occurs to me how Malleus is the culmination of Lilia's ideals. He was raised to be what Lilia once considered as perfect: a golden child of many talents, a quick-learner at everything he does, a good head on his shoulders, unparalleled strength, and magical abilities the likes that have never been seen before.

But even if he's Lilia's masterpiece, he's not the one Lilia holds dearest in his heart. It's Silver, the random mortal he raised without too much expectations but so much love.

I left Gaza and left my pregnant wife. I didn't see my baby when he was born and I wasn't there. He is now 6 years old and I have 4 children, the eldest of whom is 13 years old. I have no childhood memories with my children, and I fear I will be deprived of them. My wife suffers from kidney problems, her left kidney was removed, and she now lives with one kidney. Also, due to the war and the lack of treatment, her health has deteriorated, and if I lose his life, my children will remain in Gaza homeless, without their mother and their expatriate father for that.
