I don't know if this is just my neighborhood or everyone does this but around my area we have a ton of stray cats. So we all look out for them. We have them named, pet them if they come near us, and those who have the money feed them. If one gets hurt we take it to the vet and after they get better let them back out. We've tried spaying and neutering most of them. They're basically just all of our outdoor cats. Is this just me?

So the other day I was watching The Princess and the Frog and I decided that Charlotte La Bouff doesnât get nearly enough love and thereâs a lot of reasons why.
Yes, most people who do love Charlotte think sheâs hilarious, mainly there for comic relief and to fall unwittingly into Dr. Facilierâs evil plan. But Charlotte is so much more than that. She is an A+++ friend to Tiana and the fact that she is a white, upper class debutante makes this even more fantastic.
The film takes place in the 1920âs in the South. Do you know what it was like in the south in the early 20th century? It wasnât good. Reconstruction messed up the south BAD, you guys. You still see a lot of fall out from that time period in terms of racism and social divides. Itâs amazing that Charlotte and Tiana are such good friends despite being from such different backgrounds, but neither of them treat the other one any differently because of this. And even though Charlotte first met Tiana through Tianaâs mother, who was clearly a nanny or seamstress or another form of âhelpâ in the La Bouff household, she continued to remain friends with Tiana even after her mother leaves their employment.
When Charlotte hires Tiana to cater her party, itâs not because she feels pity for her or her working class lifestyle. Itâs because sheâs like âdamn girl, your beignets are fantastic, you have to bring them to the party tonight!â When Tiana is clearly going through an emotional time (after finding out she lost her restaurant) Charlotte literally DITCHES HER PRINCE to go comfort Tiana and make her feel better.
Charlotte has had everything in her life, and her only wish is to marry a prince and become a princess. Itâs a silly, girlish dream, but itâs all sheâs had because she could have anything else. Itâs the equivalent of Rapunzelâs dream to see the lights or Auroraâs dream to meet her true love. She has such a hopeful outlook on life and fate having things work out for her, and yet even when she makes a deal with Naveen and he agrees to marry her, she realizes that Tiana is the one who found true love. TIANA is living out her dream and rather than get bitter, Charlotte GLADLY hands over her dream to Tiana. She could have easily forced Naveen to marrying her by kissing him before the clock struck twelve and forgetting about her friend, taking her dream that sheâs wanted her WHOLE LIFE for herself, but Charlotte doesnât even hesitate. âIâll kiss him, no marriage required!â
Charlotte is a fantastic friend, showing us that it doesnât matter which background youâre from - friendship knows no color and no social class. THAT is why Charlotte is so freaking amazing.
I wanna do that one day

Getting excited every time the giant squid would swim past the glass in the common room
Having to stock up on warm clothes bc damn it gets cold in there
Everyone in the dorms having like ten blankets on their beds during winter
Having huge games of Chinese whispers at the Slytherin table which confuses the whole school as to why all the Slytherins are deadly silent
Having the sassiest and most sarcastic conversations ever with your house mates
Staying up late on Friday nights with loads of other slytherins and playing weird drinking games with firewhisky while the minors watch in awe
Always defending people from your house even if youâve never talked to them before
Getting confused as to why Slytherin is supposed to be the âbadassâ house because what actually goes on in the common room is eating competitions and rap battles
Creating the strongest and most last-longing friendshipsÂ
Passing notes in classÂ
saying âfight meâ under your breath to literally everything
So much swearing
Everyone swearing all the time that you forget that swearing is âbadâ
Getting told off in class for swearing
âGod fucking dammit i just spilled my fucking inkâ
âExcuse me?â
âSorry professorâŚslip of the tongueâŚâ
Getting extremely stubborn when people tell you what to do, making you do the opposite.Â
Not being as huge a fan of Snape even though everyone thinks Slytherins worship him
Getting really annoyed when people are surprised at how lovely you are, despite being in SlytherinÂ
Slytherin PRIDEÂ

i would walk five hundred miles and i would walk five hundred more to be the man who walks a thousand miles to catch literally anything other than another motherfucking pidgey for the love of god
So Iâve been talking to and hanging out with this guy lately. Heâs sweet and funny but the other day he said something that really crushed my already crippling self confidence. He was cuddling me and being super cute but then suddenly just starts poking my stomach and says âHave you ever thought about losing some weight? Youâd look a lot better with just a little offâ.Â
Like thanks itâs not like Iâve been trying for the past couple months or struggling against my own overeating problems. Iâm still blown away by how rude he was
How old were you when you were diagnosed with depression? Or if you haven't been diagnosed how old were you when you noticed you had it? I was 8 when my grief counselor told my family that I already had full blown depression and anxiety. This is really just to prove to myself and others that it can happen at any age.
