I’ve added the first chapter of the fic onto AO3 and am working on the second chapter!!! I still have the Spotify playlist for the fic up but it’s been changed to “Searching for a New Home” bc I changed the fic title (I’m still workshopping the name ngl).

I’m making a new Trolls fic called Different Path, Different Troll (I’m still workshopping the name).

The gist of it is:

Branch is worried about the safety of the village and sick of how he’s treated as an outcast. He doesn’t trust them to not lead a Bergen straight to Pop Village. Since his bunker won’t keep them safe permanently, he goes off to search for a new home that the bergens will not find. With an unexpected tag-along (Cooper), Branch encounters other trolls that he never knew existed. Some of these new trolls include a couple of well known bounty hunters.

Im still making the outline of the story, but I’m working on the first chapter. Hope I can get out the first chap in a week or so!! As per my last fic, I’ll have around 1,000 words per chap and my uploading schedule will be mostly random but at most I’ll have a chapter every 2-3 days.

Since I plan to add songs into my fic, I’ve created a Spotify playlist called “Different Path, Different Trolls” on my Spotify acc “Hookfang”. There you’ll see some songs that will potentially be added. It is not a definite list.

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

There's so much misinformation/misunderstandings about Zaunites (Jayce saying they're dangerous and Caitlyn telling Vi she thought Vi was 'different') and because of the different lives Piltovians and Zaunites have (enforcers protecting Topsiders and not Zaunites/the corruption only Zaunites can see, the different infrastructure, the pollution in the undercity, etc etc) that Steb would likely be a bit judgy, but he's got a righteous heart and would protect everyone regardless of where they're from

I need to make a head canon post of Steb cause there's just so much I can talk about with him

I'm honestly kind of sick of everyone making steb out to be this guy who wants to make a difference and became an enforcer to make enforcers better. No. I personally head cannon him to not like messes so he would be a little judgemental and disgusted by a lot of things zaunites do. (This mainly became a hc because of the kinda judgy look he gave vi and Maddie when they shook hands and the way he kicked the empty bottles) having said this I still think he cares about zaunites because he's a medic and even if he might be grossed out by then at times, they are still living beings and he will treat them with as much respect as he would a regular civilian
