A veces te asalta una sensación de fractura con una alegría casi incontenible por cosas que te emocionaban y te impulsan a direcciones distintas. A veces, en ésos momentos, me dan ganas de ser una sensación más que una persona. No lo has entendido, pero tú eres el cascabel, ahí donde más veces que la palabra “siempre” ahí regreso.

No necesitas de más promesas, sabes que a mi tampoco me van, pero no te llegarías a imaginar todo lo que volvería a pasar para conocerte a ti. Y tampoco te imaginarías todo lo que te quiero transmitir al verte, pero, al mismo tiempo, me reprimo. Por que seguramente, eso es lo que causas con tu don. Y no, no es malo. <3 Si alguna vez me buscas, estaré en los columpios.

Una historia ,que no habia terminado sigue su camino apezar de haberse separado ,vuelven a chocar caminos ,a chocar palabras a mirar sus rostros y sin mentiras poder seguir disfrutando de el egoismo de nuestras acciones ,y como venas las ramas de los arboles seran testigos de cada latido de esta historia

These ‘Dreamer’ pieces came from an idea I had about dreams being woven from these golden threads. On their own, these individual threads symbolised nothing but a passing thought. But woven together the threads form something strong enough to create the sequences that are our dreams. And it was this idea I loved, that these little sparrows spin these threads around us each night to build a nest in which we fall into and dream in.

How The Steven Universe Movie Did Amnesia Well

Last week, I made a post covering the Dos and Do Nots of amnesia stories. What inspired it was the Steven Universe movie, which I personally thought was one of the best examples of how to make this kind of plot work.

So using the Four Elements I noticed as recurring in good memory-loss stories, I thought I’d use the film as a case study:

1) Emotional Weight

This is what Steven Universe has always excelled at, so of course it hit this one right on the head.

In many ways, amnesia is a threat perfectly suited for Steven. He is a character defined, more than almost any other I know, by his relationships. His love for Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl is the defining aspect of the show, and its main plot has always been how the four of them worked together to grow and develop.

Taking those relationships away from him is probably one of the scariest things he could experience.

Then, we have the flip side; how the Gems themselves react to memory loss. This is given less focus than in most amnesia stories, since they all essentially react like computers being rebooted. It’s a different and fun take.

The Gems’ reactions comes from getting their memories back- and those moments are some of my favourites in the film. Amethyst surprise quickly transforming into joyous laughter. Pearl’s self-satisfied pride as she gazes down at herself. Garnet calmly and confidently bursting into song as she defends Steven.
