“They didn’t agree on much. In fact, they didn’t agree on anything. They fought all the time and challenged each other ever day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.”

ABOUT:
PROTECTIVE→ LOYAL→ FIGHTER→ HAUNTED
Graeme’s been a scrapper since he was young. Often finding himself in trouble in school for picking fights, he never went to college and worked for years just doing manual labor. It wasn’t until later in life that a buddy of his suggested he join the army before he got too old for it. Taking the man up on his advice, he found himself at home in the military. Thinking he was going to make it a lifelong career, he gave it his all. It did wonders to discipline him, though his itch for fighting still won through sometimes. It was brought to an abrupt end, however, after a patrol with his squad went horribly wrong. While in Iraq, his squad was securing a road for a convoy to deliver supplies. While checking out one of the buildings thought to be abandoned, the squad stumbled onto resistance fighters, who opened fire on them. The squad fired back and Graeme himself managed to get a shot off on one of the men who was threatening his brothers in arms. The man went down, but he didn’t stay down. It wasn’t a man that got back up, but a wolf. The wolf tore through the squad like they were nothing, leaving only Graeme and his buddy Lee Ford alive. The two weren’t the same after that, quickly finding out that the wolf that mauled them passed along the curse to them. They deserted their army lives soon after.
Though eternally grateful that he’s alive, Graeme struggles with what he is on a daily basis. Not only does the wolf bother him, but he’s haunted by the fact he witnessed his whole squad die in front of him and there was little he could do to stop it. He’s incredible protective and loyal to Lee, who he considers a brother. He struggles with guilt and the consequences of deserting the army he’d grown to love. He has trouble finding work, finding it to be meaningless compared to fighting for something. He’s started to venture down a non-violent criminal path, stealing things and pawning them to be able to pay his rent. He’s friendly to the others in the house, but keeps himself fairly distant for fear of letting them down like he did his squad.
