So, Back Around 2022-2023, I Had To Explain To A BUNCH Of Friends What Exactly Is/was The Undertale/UTMV

So, back around 2022-2023, I had to explain to a BUNCH of friends what exactly is/was the Undertale/UTMV fandom. It was hard to explain AUs of AUs… of multiverses… to people which weren’t there to personally experience the transition?

A lot of these stories and ideas just stems from people getting inspired off of other people, and kind of building up from there. However, if you weren’t really there for the natural progression of that… the fandom will kind of seem like… a lot (even though it kind of is ^^ the rabbit hole runs deep…).

So, I tried my hand at semi-making a “comprehensive” guide to how I see the layers of the fandom ^^” (in a silly, not-so-serious way).

The deeper you go into this fandom, the harder it sometimes gets to even leave 💀

(note: please don’t take this entirely too seriously! I just used this as a way to make the entirety of the fandom slightly more digestible, instead of me yapping for hours in a pseudo lecture about the history of the fandom).

situation.. I think Nightmare doesn’t have a gender so my headcanon is that he’s agender. He doesn’t really need one. When it comes to anatomy I imagine him as intersex and he expresses himself more Maskulin or Feminin or androgyn depending on the person and day.

It's a quiet evening.

Nightmare is in bed with his boys on his massive, XXL king-sized mattress. He's sitting against the headboard, a pile of pillows his only cushioning. In his hands, a book about flora and it's many uses.

Killer is comfortably draped across his lap and tendrils, lazily playing with the tip of one like it's some sort of fidget toy. His eyes are closed, but he isn't asleep just yet. He has a cat on his chest that hasn't stopped purring.

Dust is curled up a little ways off from them, using another tendril as a sort of weighted pillow. He's sleeping soundly, any kind of night terror being warded off by Nightmare's vigilance.

Horror and Cross are nestled together beside Nightmare, watching cooking videos on a tablet together - those cozy ones that have minimal talking and the calming aesthetic. They don't talk to each other during it, simply enjoying each other's touch and the sounds of carrots being cut.

All is well; The sounds of gentle dish clattering, soft kitten purring, and light snoring combining into a symphony of bliss and comfort.

Nightmare couldn't be any happier.
