Well, you are an amazing writer, I'd love to speak Greek Mythology with you (aka learn more about it because you can never not know enough about something), and everyone needs a to be read pile/list longer than they can finish.
:>
I was attacked with positivity, so you are getting attacked with positivity, too!
List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you!
Ok, erm…
1.) Getting reviews for my books. If someone has a single kind thing to say about my writing, I will not shut up about it for the next week.
2.) Baking. I love making (and eating) sweets. I would eat nothing but desserts if I could.
3.) Musicals. My favorite one that I’ve seen live is Hamilton, but I also love EPIC and Hadestown.
4.) Mythology of any kind, but especially Greek mythology.
5.) Finding new books to add to my reading list. My reading list for this year is growing faster than I can finish books hehe
Listening to two vastly different playlists at the same time is amazing. And maybe disorienting.

Here you go! List 5 things that make you happy, then put this message in the askbox for the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you! 💚
Oo positivity! Lovely!
I am going to overcomplicate the heck out of this just for fun.
Five things I like...
Off the top of my head, reading, writing, drawing, music, and being alone. But liking them doesn't necessarily mean they make me happy.
I like where I travel mentally when reading, and it makes me happy to be in fantasy land when I am reading. Away from the real world and the chaos.
I like creating a world when I write and draw, but the process is hard. Can't exactly get immediate results with either of them, and I will complain a ton, but the results make me happy.
Music ends up being another distraction from the real world and all the chaos, which I like. But listening to music doesn't necessarily make me happy. I just do it.
Being alone is another escape from life. There's something peaceful in it. But it makes me bored more than happy.
So there are two things that make me happy. Traveling to fantasy land while reading and the results of creating through drawing and writing.
I suppose I also love overcomplicating things, such as this response to such a simple question.
So there is three.
Getting compliments on my work or ideas makes me happy for a few moments, which I suppose counts.
Watching anime is fun. Unless it is a sad anime, then it makes me sad, or I don't enjoy it. I suppose watching anime I enjoy makes me happy.
So fantasy-land through reading, the results of creating through drawing and writing, overcomplicating things, compliments on my work or ideas, and anime make me happy.
There's five!

🐧 a funny quote (silly! laughs! jokes! puns!)
Uhm I don't think there are any funny quotes to be had in Stars of the Sky yet, but maybe-
Maybe this counts as a funny interaction? I dunno I lack the funnies.
"I'm Aphrodite!" The loud female rushes to Hades' side, hugging her arm. "How did you hear me? I was being quiet!" Aphrodite presses her plump breasts against Hades' arm, peering up at the younger girl with eyes of pure violet. Hades blushes slightly, tugging her arm free. The other girl is very pretty, which doesn't make suppressing the involuntary reaction easy. "And how did you fight while carrying all those bags? They look heavy! They didn't impede you at all?"
"You were right next to the door and talking much louder than the others. That's how I heard you." Hades scowls as Aphrodite tries to hug her arm again.
Aphrodite was just meeting Hades and has no sense of personal space.

I hope y'all are familiar with these in this day and age, especially my artists out there, because they're incredibly common.
About half an hour ago I posted a drawing and tagged it #artists on tumblr, and very quickly received this comment.
My scam radar went off immediately, due to the generic blog name and lack of any emotion in the comment, but I decided it might be an entertaining venture so I dmed them. They asked for a drawing "of these", and sent me a random selfie. I got the details and told them it would be $15, and they promptly offered me $300. At this point I know it's a scam, but I play along for funsies and give them my paypal. Shortly, they send me this image for "confirmation" (I blocked out my email)
And they began to insist that I checked my email. I looked in my spam folder and found the following email.
This is fake. This is not a thing. And the "you're to refund the $200.00 back" is the scam. They send vaguely official-looking emails at you to "prove" that they sent you the money, then have you send them $200 (or however much the scam is for). Then, surprise surprise, you're out $200.
I continued to play along for a bit, and in the second email "Paypal" told me that I had to refund the $200 before they could "credit the $300 to my account", along with these lovely threats.
And yeah, it's silly. But it's not silly if you don't know and get scammed. So. Spread, please! And thank you very much to @mlaurel for the opportunity to get these screenshots.
31. From the OC ask game: Do they like receiving gifts? Giving gifts? What is their ideal gift?
For Hades specifically but feel free to answer for any other characters as well!!
Hades likes being gifted blades. Swords, daggers, spears, she likes them all. She doesn't even need to be gifted them for use. It can just sit and look pretty and she'd enjoy it all the same. She likes giving gifts--mostly of food, water, blankets, and other things to homeless or poor people. She doesn't see herself as someone who needs money, she has a ton and can spare some. She will also gift her friends things that remind her of them.
Eros would probably enjoy gifting people roses and bracelets. He likes making people feel like they are pretty. He likes receiving jewelry as well, but he will accept gems from Hades because he likes her taste because all the gems she gives him are all strangely fitting, and she sometimes supplies him with a way to turn the gems into jewelry. He's like a bird that likes shiny things.

Reblog if you stand against order, civilization, and goodness itself
I have this habit of saving things I want to reblog to my drafts to reblog at a later date, sometimes because I want to write thoughts to reblog things with, sometimes because I see something interesting and want to save it where it wouldn't be buried in my likes. But then it gets lost in my drafts so I'm just juggling I guess.

Introducing Nightmaricwriter
I realized I don't have an introduction post here despite having things posted here, and that is the biggest pain since last week.
I have been writing since... I think third grade, but I didn't fall in love with writing until sixth grade. I have been obsessed with reading for about the same amount of time. I started with original stories with fantasy elements, then got into the world of writing fanfiction, but the spark for writing original stories hasn't faded.
Currently, I am working on a story called Stars Of The Sky, which I am hoping to turn into a book. It's about Hades, a god-named individual, leaving her Clan to discover how to better protect her Clan, but she discovers a myriad of things that she has to deal with.
There's also A Court of Death and Ruin (temporary name), an ACOTAR fanfiction. This is throwing Hades from Stars of the Sky into ACOTAR to cause problems for the original plot line.
Previously, I was working on Sightless, but I have abandoned that one temporarily because too many ideas go through my brain. This was about a female main character leaving a world that used her powers, alongside her twin brother and adopted brother, using her twin's power to travel to a new dimension and a new world. There, she discovers her absurd magic affinity and a dark god that only she has the capacity to slay.
I have also written a myriad of fanfiction, but will not discuss all of them because there is an absurd amount of them.
-I identify as biromantic, as I am not sexually attracted to anyone, but I am romantically attracted to the binary genders.
That being said, I have a bad romantic history and might be very unlucky in that regard.
-My characters are usually on the spectrum of being attracted to just about anyone. Partially because it amuses me to write bi panic for very little reason, but also because some of me needs to be in my characters.
-I have a terrible sleep schedule and do nothing with the additional time that gives me. Seriously, waking up at three am is absurd when I don't have to be up until seven. It isn't every night, but it is almost every night.
I might write some character introduction posts once I have more characters with information created.
That feeling when you finally give your main character a birthplace after doing quite a bit of other things for that character-
Seriously Hades didn't have a birthplace that people outside her Clan could refer to for quite a while
She was born somewhere, but it didn't exist in the context of the world for a bit. Her Clan never named itself (Because it is not important for them to be named as a group). Quite a fun thing.
3 and 6 for any character?
I'll answer this for... Hades and Eros
[3] What emotion is the hardest for them to deal with?
Hades deals hardest with love. Primarily, familial love. She sees her aunt and uncle as family, but she doesn't love them as much as she feels she should. It isn't like falling under their care was unexpected to her, but it's more due to the culture of her Clan, as she comes from the main tree of the family and her aunt and uncle are considered to be the offshoot, which leads to emotional distancing. She doesn't recognize romantic love easily either, but she recognizes it better than familial.
Eros struggles most with hate and anger. Not for any particular reason, mostly because he is so open and friendly with others that hating them or being angry with them is hard for him to imagine.
6] How direct are they in conversations, do they speak in hints and riddles or bluntly say what they think?
Hades and Eros are similar in that they speak their minds, but that is about it, I think? Hades is much more direct and blunt, and won't leave anything to interpretation, while Eros will say most of a thought then let listeners interpret the rest.
If you want to ask from this list, please include the number AND question. I sometimes see a ton of ask games and want to do them so I have to play a whole guessing game to determine what number correlates to what ask game.
i wanted to make an oc ask game 😋 things i like to ask people abt their characters:
are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?
what sort of music would they like? have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? do they have a favorite song?
weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?
how crafty/resourceful are they?
how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?
how do they wear their hair? do they care a lot how their hair looks?
favorite animal? why?
do they have a nickname? who gave it to them? if it's not derived from their real name, what's the story behind it?
favorite food? least favorite? are they a picky eater? do they have any dietary restrictions?
if they wear jewelry, what kind? do they prefer silver or gold? do they have a favorite gem?
what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?
how long have they been around? do you know their birthday? is their birthday the day you made them or another day? what do they think of celebrating birthdays?
what languages do they speak? how fluently?
are they any good with numbers?
how big or small is their family? who did they live with growing up? do they live with anyone now?
do they have any pets? what do they call their pets?
how did they spend their summers/free time as a child?
their opinion on lying, stealing, and killing?
are they quick to anger? what sets them off?
if applicable, can they drive? if they have their own, what color is their vehicle? is the inside neat and tidy, or a mess?
their favorite place to be?
do they sleep well at night?
how would you describe their voice? can they sing?
do they have any creative hobbies? (art, writing, music, etc)
how good/bad is their hearing? what about their eyesight?
how do they move? are they clumsy? light on their feet? do they use mobility aids?
if applicable, do they have a favorite sport? do they play any sports or prefer to watch?
how do they show that they care about someone? how do they express that they don't like someone?
are they associated with any particular element (air, earth, fire, water)?
do they smell like anything notable?
do they like receiving gifts? giving gifts? what is their ideal gift?
do they have any habits that aren't particularly self-destructive, just maybe odd?
if applicable, how would your other characters describe them? i mean specifically the people around them.
how would your character describe themselves? it doesn't have to line up with how they really are.
do they ever return home?
This is a ACOTAR fanfiction story I started today. I couldn't get the thought out of my brain and it was begging to be written. So this is me throwing Hades, from my other WIP, Stars of the Sky, that has yet to be introduced because I am too busy loring it out, into the world of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. No idea where it is going at this time, but @aalinaaaaaa wanted to read the prologue, so I am giving the prologue here.
Due to my nature, I will be incorporating elements from Stars of the Sky into this story, and I have no idea how that will work out. Only that this isn't the first time I've killed the MC in the prologue. I sometimes write like this to explore an oc in a different environment because it amuses me to imagine how much my characters could change the novels I enjoy reading.
So, warnings before you seek the prologue: Death, blood, and injuries. No fighting though. Didn't give that in this... yet.
Hades stares at the sky, watching it darken from a cerulean to an indigo. Her hands rest on her stomach, feeling her lifeblood leaking from her fingers. Her vision is going dark, blurring. She can still see the outline of her killer, feel his blood red eyes glare down at her, feel his hate in the air.
Her eyes close, her breath slowing. It hurts, dying to a stomach wound. She knows she doesn't have the time to treat it, doesn't have enough time to seek treatment from others, either. She can't survive.
Hades feels her life slipping from her. She feels it more intimately than others. With her connection to her Personal God, The God Of Death, Dead, and The Underworld, Hades, she can feel who is close to dying. Right now, she is close to dying.
Her soul is slipping from her, and she can't gather enough strength to hold on. She can feel herself going weightless, her muscles no longer responding to her. She soon stops feeling her body, her consciousness going with her soul.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hades opens her eyes, expecting the meadow of Elysium, but she only sees a wooden roof above her. She's… alive? She groans quietly, pushing herself to sit up. The room she's in is small, with two doors leading to other places, she assumes, a table that takes up a good portion of the room, and she's now sitting with her back to a fireplace.
Her stomach hurts, but it doesn't burn. She tugs the hem of her shirt up, scanning where her wound had been. Not even a trace of the wound remains. Had Apollo gotten to her in time? Probably not. He wouldn't have been able to beat Ares.
Hades crosses her legs so she can set her elbows on her knees. She can vaguely feel four living beings in this building, but none in this room. She leans back, resting against the fireplace. She could just leave. She doesn't know where she is, but it shouldn't be too hard to work her way to somewhere she knows.
That would be her plan if she wasn't so exhausted. She lays back down, curling onto her side. Maybe she's safe enough to spend a few days here.

Oo I just started a new story.
So this is currently the final paragraph of the prologue for this new story, though there is definitely more to be done for the prologue.
"Her soul is slipping from her, and she can't gather enough strength to hold on. She can feel herself going weightless, her muscles no longer responding to her. She soon stops feeling her body, her consciousness going with her soul."

Uhm I don't have a lot of OC information out there so this would end up being the ultimate guessing game. So- Even I won't know the true answer or if the answer is canon to my own story.
Who is the most likely to be able to communicate with the Ancient God that they were named after?
Explanation: The Ancient Gods are not known to communicate with Named humans, as most Named do not do things that fall within the realm of the God's abilities that the Gods take as worshiping them. For example, if an Apollo became a doctor, he would be honoring Apollo (The God of Prophecy, Music, Healing, and Disease of the world of Stars of The Sky) because he would be healing, but an Apollo on a slaughter spree would not be. The things that fall within their realm of abilities are similar to what the Greek Gods' abilities control/lie in.
--God-named are not known to have the ability to commune with their Gods because the conditions are hard to meet--
God-named are those named after the Ancient Gods, and will be referred to as Named. Those who aren't named after the Ancient Gods are the Unnamed.
Hades - The protagonist with a strong opinion, raised to lead in her Clan. Her Personal God and the Ancient God (of her world, which I stole from the Greeks) is Hades, her Clan's believed-in God of Dead, Death, and the Underworld. She prays to her God daily, condemns those who wish to become immortal through rituals that would break the natural cycle of life and death, and she (for the sake of protecting others) puts people to death.
Ares - The main antagonist(Maybe) who believes in Named supremacy. Named after the Stars of the Sky God of War, Battlelust, Courage, and Civil order, Ares. He wants to incite a mass genocide of the Unnamed, unite all the Named, and get with Hades (That's his side quest).
Eros - A side character who has bedded more women and men than he has fingers and toes. He's named after the God of Lust, Attraction, and Sexual Desire. He's definitely slept with many people, he's gotten people together with other people, and he's a very natural flirt.

And anyone else who wishes to join.
This is an idea I had for a new tag game, and it's pretty self-explanatory. First, an event or backstory snippet is listed, then a list of characters and reasons why it could have happened to them, then you have to guess which oc it happened to. If you already know the correct answer, you may guess that, but you can't say anything like "oh, I know it's XYZ because of XYZ."
I'm starting off with characters from Sisters of Vipers with this one, but I would like to do another one with more of my other ocs!
Who was left orphaned after their wealthy parents died tragically when they were an infant?
Mola - a teenage girl who was adopted after being found, seemingly abandoned, on a beach when she was a baby. Everyone always talks about how she looks identical to a rich woman who died.
Serpent - The powerful leader of a mysterious secret trading ring. Negotiates with lords and ladies of the land and lives in a gigantic manor house.
Bahnkil- an anxiety prone man who had a strained relationship with his uncle. His uncle was very rich and influential.

The use of generative AI is a topic that people might have mixed opinions on, but I have a question for the artists and the writers here. What are your thoughts on the use of generative AI in your field? This does not include any spell checkers or things like that, but AI that generates content from a prompt, such as Chat GPT.
This is not taking the negatives of Generative AI into account, such as how it affects the climate. Just your opinions on its use regarding art and/or writing.
For a college class, I am writing a paper comparing human artists and writers to what AI can achieve, but these responses are more for my curiosity. I am unlikely to reference them at all in my paper aside from saying "If one asked 'what are your thoughts on AI' to writers and artists on Tumblr, this many people said this" and even then it is unlikely since reliability of sources and all that. This is more to see the thoughts of people regarding this topic.
I hope this doesn't intrude on anyone, but I would like to tag a few people that I know write or draw. Don't feel pressured to take a stance if you don't want to.
Feel free to tag others who you think would be interested in responding.
Again, I might be curious about this for a paper, but the results won't be mentioned. Not even a username.
