Moon 3, Part 2

Without a second of hesitation, Moonpaw takes off over the mountain, mouth open to follow Fogpaw’s scent as her paws fly over the rocks. Her legs are screaming, but adrenaline overpowers her exhaustion.

“Fogpaw?” She yowls. “Fogpaw!”

“I’m here.” Fogpaw’s voice sounds from somewhere nearby, strained but blessedly alive. Moonpaw turns in the direction of the sound and darts around the edge of an outcropping of rock, freezing as the sour scent of blood fills her nostrils.

“Fogpaw?”

“I told you, I’m right here,” He hisses. He’s half on the ground, struggling to pull himself to his paws, so Moonpaw goes to press her body to his to help him up. His pale fur is stained and streaked with blood from long gashes that mar his flank and there are clumps of fur stuck between his claws.

“What happened to you?” Moonpaw is terrified. The scent of blood reminds her of her last night at home and she struggles not to gag. “It smells like other cats.”

“It was other cats,” he spits, leaning heavily on her as she guides them back towards where she first spotted the rabbit. He limps, wincing with each step. “Remember those cats we met up with at the border? They’re using our hunting grounds.” Fogpaw’s voice shakes with anger. “I confronted them, but they said we don’t have a clan anymore which means that the territory is theirs. They said that if I tried to stop them, they’d make me pay. Well,” he laughs humorlessly, “I tried, but there were too many of them. I’m lucky that what little honor they have left was enough to stop them from killing me.”

Thank StarClan. She can’t lose her brother, too. He’s the only thing she has left. “You’re too reckless,” Moonpaw scolds. Fogpaw’s muzzle twists into a scowl, but he doesn’t deny it. “We have to leave, Fogpaw. We need to find somewhere new. We can rebuild NimbusClan, but it can’t be here.”

He looks at her, his eyes going wide and round. Slowly, a determined sheen comes over them. “Alright. Lead the way, Moonpaw.”

From the ask game - 📝 What do your notes look like?

Hello, thank you!! I've loved following the Nimbus duo 🥺

For notes, I have a big messy doc where I just screenshot + paste game events that I find interesting / important, sometimes with little notes added on

And then I have a neater doc with notes on characters, worldbuilding stuff which wont come up for like. months lol but. , etc. My memory is pretty shot so as the clan gets up to like 9, 10 members I need some notes to keep all their personalities & relationships straight lol.

For the comic itself, once I've played far enough I'll jot down a general story arc for those moons to give them a direction, & take rough notes on the events & emotional arcs of the main characters for that storyline. Then I break that up into events going moon-by-moon.

THEN I write out scripts for each moon more in-depth, referencing my rough arc outline & the events that happened that moon for flavour (I'm finished rough scripts for this whole first arc, though a few still need a bit of work to make them. gooder).

Then on to my really janky thumbnails, and then I'm ready to actually draw the page!

Too many to name all of them, I believe my follows are public if you want to see all of them But those that inspired me to start my own Clangen blog were:

FallenClan, whom might be the first i ever followed (fuzzy memory) and by default became my favorite.. I could talk about it for hours but I'll spare you. CastawayClan, the relationship that Goldrun & Conifersun has really made me want to do my own little clan, and also kinda why I killed off like half my clan at the start because it looked easier to focus on the characters relationships when there are fewer cats, I want to be sad when one of my characters ends up dying, just like I was when uh- yeah no spoilers. Gray-ThistleClan, the style, the designs, the story.. I started SpiderClan when I found this blog, Its also why I chose the Wastelands for my Clans territory, the backgrounds in that blog are beautiful and im hoping in future moons I can learn how to add more and more life to it, by drawing boxes, abandonned cars.. you know, stuff im not used to!

These ones inspired me after I started SpiderClan! LoudClan, SplinterClan, CricketClan, BrightClan, DirtClan, WhistleClan, MarbleClan, AbyssClan, NimbusClan, MothClan

Then again, if I follow them, It means I love their blog, so definetly check all of them out! Also I didnt @ them because I dont wanna bother anyone, so I linked them all instead?
