Reblog In 5 seconds for good luck
I had to explain the concept of fanfiction to my therapist today and much to my surprise she thought it was so amazing, like it blew her mind. "How creative! How cool! And there are whole communities for this? You all read each other's stuff? You just write for each other?! For FREE?!"
I was so happy.

I don’t dress up for boys. I dress up to stare at my reflection as I walk by store windows.

People may heavily disagree with this, but this also applies to not supporting albums or songs for political reasons. I really hate when people bully others for not being as politically active about certain messages.
I totally get that protesting certain people, businesses, and things is a way to get a message across. However, not all countries and people are as politicized as some. This also means that because some people are unaware, you aren't going to make the largest impact. Most of the regular community who are enjoying a kpop song even if they don't listen to kpop (or any other gener), will still listen and enjoy the song/ watch the video totally unaware.
Also, some people are incredibly politically active outside of their media consumption. For lots of people consuming media and art is a stress reliever. Pressuring people who probably care but don't have the mental effort for more, is kind of disgusting.
Not to mention that there are so many better ways to support movements than not listening to a song or album. Examples for the US: contacting a congressman or representative, spreading messages/accurate information (online or in person), going to physical protests (be safe), raising money for the movements/organizations that support the movement.
Stop bullying people for not supporting movements in the same way you do or because they don't support the movement. Okay, some people put better and more effort in other areas of their life.
(this is not to say that anybody that wants to support a movement this way is bad or wrong. If this is how you make your difference or if listening to a song makes you uncomfortable for some kind of reason, then don't. Feel free to even share why and share your (a) message about, but please stop trying to make people do the same thing you are doing.
Rant over.
Stay safe. Love lots! ❤️
this is your friendly reminder that you do not have to like or pretend to like each and every single one of your fave artists song/albums.
but that doesn't give you an excuse to be absolutely rude or bully the artists or fans who enjoy the song/album.
too many times today have i seen rude messages or comments about Namjoon newest album.
it takes more energy to be mean than it does to ignore or scroll.
