I Almost Never Post On Here But Something Is Really Bothering Me. For Reference, I Am A Type 1 Diabetic
I almost never post on here but something is really bothering me. For reference, I am a type 1 Diabetic and have been for over 10 years. Being a type 1 Diabetic sucks. It sucks a lot I have to constantly monitor way too much.
There is a a health trend I have seen done by different people. It is monitoring your blood sugar for better health. (Quick pause, I am not against this if it is necessary and consulted with by a doctor). HOWEVER, most people are doing this with some bullshit company promoting cgms for general consumption. You know what people are finding out... That their blood sugar spikes the normal amount for the appropriate amount of time after eating food. Imagine that. Except, people don't know that your blood sugar naturally spikes a little bit, even for normal people (this is usually one of the reasons you have to fast before blood work), so they are going crazy over blood sugar numbers they don't understand.
#1 I don't want people wasting their time and money on things they don't need.
#2 I really feel like this is causing suspicion with people's doctors and more conspiracies with food and health
#3 and probably the most frustrating of all is that you absolutely do not have to be doing this. Especially to those who aren't seeing a doctor or haven't had an abnormal A1c. I have to monitor my blood sugar 24/7/365. For me it is about staying alive. I don't have a choice. To watch people basically do it for fun is so incredibly frustrating (once again not against people trying to better their health but this stuff really needs a doctor). I have to wake up in the middle of the night because of low blood sugar and sit there awake after eating chalky glucose tablets to make sure I don't die in my sleep before going back to bed. I feel sick and nauseous when my insulin went bad or my carb ratio is off and I get high blood sugar.
I am just so tired of doing it and to watch people do it for fun is really starting to irritate me.

Planning out a cute little evening of pampering for my imaginary sub. Post dinner I have a solo bath set up with her favourite scents and some cute bath toys or her favourite book. Let her soak to her heart's content and let me know when she's ready to get out. Afterward, dry her off and stand her between my legs so I can moisturize her skin. Followed by pulling on some soft pajamas and gently brushing her hair. Tuck her under a fluffy blanket with a warm drink, while we watch some of our favourite movies. I really hate to come on here like this but I need help. If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that me and my baby daddy are no longer together. Things have gone from bad to worse and now I’m in a situation that puts me and my kids’ at risk of becoming homeless.
I have to get rid of the dogs as well because they are an expense that I am unable to afford on top of two boys…I have yet to break the news to them.
The job I’m currently at doesn’t pay anything and with my ex breaking the lease two months early, I will not be able to keep my job because it’s overnight and I have no one to stay home with the boys.
I’m not trying to guilt trip anyone or make y’all feel bad. My own poor judgment and lack of self worth got me here. I own up to that.
If there is any way you can help me make the next two rent payments, I will be so fucking grateful.
