Why is it called "Ramadhan"?

The word "Ramadhan" (رمضان) comes from the word "Ramad" (رمض) which literally means "burning".

Imam Qurtubi said :

❝It was named "Ramadhan" because it burns the sins of people with good deeds.❞

Muhammad b. Al-Hanafīyah:

Whoever has self respect does not give any value to the worldly life (dunyā).

How sad is it that we pray to God, but our minds are elsewhere. I ask Allah to not allow our hearts to be so attached to this dunya and our minds so preoccupied with it. Especially when we worship Him. May He forgive us.

If you ever feel like your iman has decreased then accept the fact that it will not rise in the blink of an eye. Shaytan will make it seem impossible for you to get back on track, but understand that it takes small steps to build up that iman you once had .

Slowly remove bad habits and take small steps towards the good and suddenly you will be ready to attain that inner bliss again .

I was not lost in you. On the contrary. Because of you, I became to discover a ‘me’ I’ve never seen before and that motives me to create myself in a way that makes me feel fulfilled.
