I felt like drawing a prehistoric animal today XD and drew a giraffe-camel =P (It's actually an aepycamelus, I just made that part up) This is the first time I used reflective light, and I like how the shading pops out on the belly and doesn't blend into the leg. That's something I had problems with when shading things before, but now I know some more tricks :3 • I also drew a rat skeleton on the same page (I'll upload that later), so I cropped it out in Pixlr and put a pentagon around the main focus. So I have a theory as to why we enjoy angst and our favorite fictional characters getting hurt/sick/etc. Besides the relatability aspect to it, I think it has to do with getting an adrenaline rush without anyone being in actual danger, since we wouldn’t act like this with people we know irl if something happened to them—it’s much like rollercoasters and riding off of a high of thrill without you or your loved ones being in any real peril.

Some Vindicated AU // Tazzy Martin concepts from last December :D

A big inspiration for these was @yes-asil's Tazzy Martin comics! [And Reprogrammed AU ofc ;)]

I notice after drawing all the time for 1-2 months, I've gotten way more refined, since before I got into WIld Kratts I only did art sparingly since... maybe 2019? Dang Well, depends if I'm currently hyperfixated on something like I am now XD I love bringing my ideas to life and onto paper! (So if there's nothing that greatly interests me at the time, I'll only sketch stuff here and there, with the occasional finished illustration)

Tazzy Martin Oneshot/Idea (also from December):

Inspired by that one scene from The Long Dark story mode lol

(He’s fully aware but has zero control.)

At some point late into the captivity, Martin is in the Canadian wilderness finishing off a corpse, and there’s another victim who survived, who is trying to sneak away. Martin smells him and spots him, and the man panics and runs towards an abandoned dam.

The front area is barricaded off with eight foot tall wire fencing, and the man quickly ducks into the enclosure, turns around and hastily fiddles with the gate lock as Martin dashes straight towards him, aiming for the kill.

The man finishes locking the gate right before the furry devil pounces onto the wires with his long claws, making the structure shake. The man stumbles onto his back from the startle, and he rapidly pushes himself away with his feet, still on the ground, and cries, “M-monster!”

Martin can’t respond, but he understood it crystal clear. This is what he’s become. A vicious beast. A monster.

The man hurriedly gets up and trips towards the direction of the dam, correcting his footing and making a b-line to the front doors, which were constructed from thick concrete.

He looks over his shoulder only briefly before making a full sprint, not wanting to risk the snarls and claws ripping at the fence made from the beast to get anywhere near him again.

This scenario may or may not happen in the final fic, which is why I'm posting it here now 'cause why not 😚

😲😲😲NEFARIO ARE YOU OK I always get so giddy every time I see a new post by you 🥺 I love seeing the relationship between these two. You have to make a fanfiction or something! I would gobble it up 🤗 because judging from this description it would be so interesting to read! And Gru being unprotected, if it was in one of the movies some wacky hyjincs would ensue and he would be completely fine somehow, but I like how with fanart like this there are actual stakes being added to make interesting drama.

"Are you ok, lad, did he hurt you?"

"Am I ok!? Doc, he almost killed you! Why the heck are you worried about me?!"

Nefario knows he can handle being injured, even if it's bad. But he can't stand holding Gru back or him getting hurt, it breaks him more than he cares to admit. He knows the boy is capable, but he's still a kid.

Also yeah, I would be worried too if I was fucking shot and my kid would be there trying to help me, alone and unprotected... It's uh, it's tough realising that.

But don't worry, Gru would joke around to lift the mood and everything will be fine, just as it always is :D

🌌 A galaxy griffin! One of the first things I drew when I got alcohol markers earlier this year. I didn't get all of the colors so I awkwardly tried to use a mint color I had in place of what was meant to be a cooler tone of blue. I also don't like how the shadows look washed out, that was me attempting to color blend.

During drawing this, I played around with the Bing AI image creator and typed in a prompt similar to "galaxy griffin" to reference off of. It's fun to get inspired off of it. (I won't go into an artist vs. AI debate, I just think it's a good way to get drawing inspiration. But you're free to tell me what you think about it in the comments, so long as it's kept civil.)

You know what I’ve realized? I’ve been having this trend of getting back into movies/shows/etc. that I watched as a kid. Wild Kratts, Trolls-

I guess whatever you’re influenced by in your childhood will stick with you forever, eh? 😆
