Happy Easter, everyone! ❤ - I was doing this as a quick drawing in an Easter card for a friend and thought "I should post this". So before I sent it, I decided to scan the drawing inside and post it here to wish everyone a happy Easter, too :D - I'm not very good at anatomy if I don't look at a ref, so I used panthera.arven's drawing of Lulu as a pose reference (hope you don't mind), then I added my own version of the fur pattern instead of copying the entire thing. A big inspiration for these was @yes-asil's Tazzy Martin comics! [And Reprogrammed AU ofc ;)]

I notice after drawing all the time for 1-2 months, I've gotten way more refined, since before I got into WIld Kratts I only did art sparingly since... maybe 2019? Dang Well, depends if I'm currently hyperfixated on something like I am now XD I love bringing my ideas to life and onto paper! (So if there's nothing that greatly interests me at the time, I'll only sketch stuff here and there, with the occasional finished illustration)

Tazzy Martin Oneshot/Idea (also from December):

Inspired by that one scene from The Long Dark story mode lol

(He’s fully aware but has zero control.)

At some point late into the captivity, Martin is in the Canadian wilderness finishing off a corpse, and there’s another victim who survived, who is trying to sneak away. Martin smells him and spots him, and the man panics and runs towards an abandoned dam.

The front area is barricaded off with eight foot tall wire fencing, and the man quickly ducks into the enclosure, turns around and hastily fiddles with the gate lock as Martin dashes straight towards him, aiming for the kill.

The man finishes locking the gate right before the furry devil pounces onto the wires with his long claws, making the structure shake. The man stumbles onto his back from the startle, and he rapidly pushes himself away with his feet, still on the ground, and cries, “M-monster!”

Martin can’t respond, but he understood it crystal clear. This is what he’s become. A vicious beast. A monster.

The man hurriedly gets up and trips towards the direction of the dam, correcting his footing and making a b-line to the front doors, which were constructed from thick concrete.

He looks over his shoulder only briefly before making a full sprint, not wanting to risk the snarls and claws ripping at the fence made from the beast to get anywhere near him again.

This scenario may or may not happen in the final fic, which is why I'm posting it here now 'cause why not 😚

A few years ago, I actually met an opossum that wandered into our closed off porch. I wanted to pet it so bad lol

So when I was 8 or 9, I did lots of things; go outside to make mud pies, climb trees, do art class and PE every alternating week, surf the web, play on the Xbox 360 with my brother, and watch cartoons on the telly (one of which being Wild Kratts).

I also loved to play flash games online on the family computer all the time, so I can’t remember which I found first, the WK flash games on the PBS website or the show itself, although come to think of it, it might’ve been the show first because the ad at the end credits where they said they have flash games on the website is probably how I found those; and I watched other PBS shows like Oso Special.

I loved the cheetah racer game and remember it being really hard to beat level (I think?) 4, and wandering around the various biomes in the power disks you won through playing. RIP Flash 😢

As for the fandom, the memory had been completely dormant for the past 11 years until about two months ago, when YouTube recommended me a video titled something like “Remember Wild Kratts?” and I was like oh yeah I used to watch that! Then moved on to the next video.

Then about a week later I get a picture of Zach Varmitech on my Pinterest feed, and I’m like, isn’t that… Wild Kratts, right? (I recognized the distinct art style along with Zach, but totally forgot his name)

Then I went down a rabbit hole of fanart and found @yes-asil’s tazzy Martin comics, and the rest is history 🥳

Gahh this is so true. It's so easy to fall into that trap, first you start drawing fandom art because it's fun, then you start gaining followers and you fear that you'll lose them if you don't keep posting what's "expected" of you. But never forget what made you start doing it in the first place <3

done is a bit harsh, taking a step back perhaps. i don’t usually fully leave a fandom, they just go dormant until motivation strikes again.

plus, i really want to focus on making art i personally enjoy in the moment rather than feeling obligated to draw for a certain fandom— which has happened before and i could see the quality deteriorate from the artblocks that come with, it’s not fun for anyone honestly :,]

but don’t worry, mcsm will always have a special place in my heart. coincidentally i also got a post on it coming up soon, soo stay tuned!

Happy Father's Day! :) (And happy belated Mother's Day) I got inspired to draw a "transparent" Stitch because I have a PJ pants with some Stitch drawings on the side, but aren't fully colored in since the pants is Stitch's main fur color (dark blue), it blends in nicely. So, yesterday I drew Stitch sitting and outlined it pink first (since the transparent background I had was a white checkered pattern), then when I was done I changed it to white, and colored in a few parts and got a blue abstract background from Google to go along with it and I think it looks really cool :D • Also, I found another picture of a blue abstract background on Google and decided to use the second one with a Mother's day version of this, seeing as I love both backgrounds.
