percy: so can i
thalia: okay yeah but only when youâre creating big storms, and you canât direct it
percy: itâs still lightning
thalia:
thalia: i can cause brutal winds
percy: so can i. with storms.
thalia: i can make heavy rain
percy: so can my stormsâ
thalia: and thunder!
percy: you can see where iâm going with this, right?
thalia, glaring at him: fuck off, percy
percy: okay. should i take my storms full of rain, wind, thunder, and lightning with me?
thalia, rolling her eyes: i really donât know how annabeth deals with you
percy: she likes storms
percy isnt stupid or unobservant he just assumes the best of people until proven otherwise
No offence but Percy being made to feel guilty about how the gods forgot about Calypso because he was ~a little preoccupied~ and having that guilt validated is bullshit. Calypso cursing Annabeth for Percy leaving her is bullshit. Percy bearing the blame for that curse is bullshit. Annabeth having to pay the price & then basically being treated as a background prop for this shitty plot line is bullshit. Leo holding it against Percy for not choosing Calypso over saving the world is bullshit. Iâm sorry if u think Iâm wrong but like if it wasnât gna be fleshed out why was it introduced I hate this
House grew up in a household where âif you were two minutes late for dinner, you didnât eat.â It follows there would have been other rules surrounding food, likely things like âthis is whatâs for dinner, eat it or you donât eatâ and âyou have to finish whatâs on your plate.â
I feel like this would be a possible explanation for why he steals Wilsonâs food so often.
House is conditioned to eat whatever is on his plate and finish it. House is smart guy though, and would likely find work arounds to his own issues/behaviours, ie: if itâs not on HIS plate the rules donât apply.
It would explain why House sometimes eats off Wilsonâs plate and sometimes gets his own. If House likes whatâs available in the cafeteria and feels he can finish a portion of it he makes Wilson buy him lunch.
However, if he is unsure if he likes whatâs available heâll eat off Wilsonâs plate and if he doesnât like it itâs okay because it isnât his meal, there is no pressure to eat more.
Same goes for if House isnât particularly hungry but recognizes he should eat something (could be lots of reasons for this but gotta throw in my personal headcanon of autistic House having poor interoception so he doesnât always feel hunger, thirst etc but will sometimes go âI havenât eaten in a while, I probably should.â) and so he tries a bite of Wilsonâs food and if he likes it, he steals half. The small portion is more manageable when he is experiencing low appetite and is less stressful to need to finish.
