It's crazy how ubiquitous Unity was in the indie scene until a year ago. They really pissed away all that goodwill over a profit margin that was never going to happen. I mean fuck, back when I studied game design, Unity was basically all they taught in those classes. They had it made, man. All they had to do was sit back and keep the boat steady. But CEOs just can't keep the dollar signs out of their eyes. Enshittification comes for us all

Bouldering is like programming; You spend hours (and lots of caffeine) trying to solve a problem. When it's a fun problem you keep thinking about it all the time and want to work on it every free minute you have; and then when you've finally solved it you achieve happiness for all of three seconds before you move to the next problem. It's an eternal cycle of days/weeks of frustration followed by a very short burst of intense euphoria.
