Me: In November, either Trump or Biden will win. There is no third outcome, so we should vote accordingly for the option that will mitigate the most harm.
The people in my notes: Oh, so you think direct action is bad? You think voting is literally the only thing we can do? You hate activism? You love Biden and endorse everything he does and think nobody should criticize him ever? You think voting will just magically solve all our problems? You think protesting is wrong? You love the status quo and think everything is fine?
If you find yourself in a situation where you aren’t happy, please, do anything in your power to get yourself out of it. Even if it makes others unhappy. When necessary, put your well-being first.
Hating someone who’s part of a minority (LGBT+, religion, race) is fine, hating someone because they’re a part of a minority is not. Important distinction.
Taking part in protests, yet continuing to do/say racist things does not make you an activist, it makes you a douchebag who takes advantage of the horrible injustices faced by minorities in this country for popularity/respect.
Pedophelia is wrong. It is a serious issue, and if we keep normalizing and being accepting of this disgustingness, than we’re going to forget the fact that we are talking about the well-being of children, whom we seem to care quite a bit about when it comes to transgender people using the bathroom and abortion. This is much more important than either of those things, and we all seem to be overlooking that.
If you are pro-life, and want to ban gay and lesbian couples from adopting, than you really aren’t helping those children you claim to care for. Keep this in mind.
Your political opinions do define who you are.
Republicans aim to take away the rights of women (regarding rape, abortion, etc), LGBT+ people (regarding conversion therapy, banning transgender people from the military, banning gay couples from adopting, etc), and everyone who doesn’t share their views.
Democrats do the opposite, supporting abortion and LGBT+ movements.
Which side do you want to be on?
The entire PrideFall operation is honestly all the explanation straight people should require as to why we need a Pride Month to begin with.
Your past may explain your negative actions, but under no circumstances does it excuse them. If you do something wrong, you will be held accountable, regardless of your tragic backstory.
If people are rioting because of police violence, the proper response is not to be more violent.
Your looks don’t define who you are. Died hair and piercings don’t make you a punk, pink dresss don’t make you a princess, etc.
