i get so happy when people that are new to fanfic writing, or just writing in general, post their work on ao3. despite their doubts, despite their fear of something so personal and vulnerable being perceived, they still press that button, and i turn into the equivalent to a proud mom cheering on the sidelines. like yes! you did that! your work is worth seeing! you deserve to share your passion for and be part of a community! iām so proud of you!
Be not afraid!
So a week ago, I sprained my ankle and couldn't walk for 3 days. I'm used to hiking at least an hour a day with my huskies so not being able to walk at all was driving me crazy. And in my jittery sedimentary state, I kept getting visions of this blursed being: a biblically accurate axolotl. There was nothing I could do but draw it. I'm all better now and able to walk again, now back to making less cursed art (maybe)

This is one of the strangest experiments I've ever done: painting on yogurt pots. I tried to film during the day, but especially at night with a lamp to project the image onto the wall. The result is very strange.
a lil sneak peak on what i'm working on now š
alt: Camera (shallow focus distance) pans from right to left, close up to an approximately 2cm long trilobite slightly moving forward while its antenna and butt jiggles (palaeolenus) among a tight cluster of Neobolus brachiopods (not mollusks but they have a similar bivalved shell that resembles clams except the top and bottom shells are not exactly the same, but the left and right is symmetrical unlike in clams). on some of the brachiopod shells are even smaller parasitic organisms of unclear affinity, only recognizable from their conical pointy tubes
