Since incense makes me sneeze, I’ve been resorting to a different method of cleansing lately - steam cleansing! It’s exactly what it sounds like, using steam to cleanse your space.
Ingredients:
A pot, to be used for boiling water
Essential oils of your choice (about 50 drops total)
Water
Instructions:
Add about 2 cups of water to your pot depending upon how large it is
Otherwise, just fill the pot about halfway with water
Add 50 drops of whichever essential oils you choose
Turn on your stove, and let the water boil
You should start to smell the essential oils throughout your house in very little time
When the water has almost completely evaporated, turn your stove off
Let the pot cool down and proceed to wash it as you would usually do with your dishes
The scent tends to linger all day, if not longer
Repeat as necessary :)
Essential oils for cleansing:
Anise
Camphor
Cedarwood
Citrus oils (bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, lemongrass, lime, orange, tangerine)
Dragon’s Blood
Hyssop
Lavender
Oregano
Peppermint
Pine
Rosemary
Sage
Sandalwood
Spearmint
Thyme
Some essential oils may cause respiratory irritation in both humans and animals, and many essential oils should not be used if pregnant or if you have other various medical problems. Please consult your physician if you have any questions about the use of essential oils.

Stormcalling is a very old category of weather magic which is used with the intent of creating, summoning and controlling storms. There are many methods for carrying out this act, but one of the simplest forms of Stormcalling is to simply whistle. One long whistled note imitates the sound of the wind itself, and the witch can visualize the blowing winds and coming storms while producing the sound in order to enact their will on the weather.
Some witches will also use the same method, but gently blow air from their mouths instead, which may be useful in situations where you may want to summon the wind or call a storm but would draw unwanted attention by whistling aloud. You can experiment with the tone and harshness of the note, perhaps using higher, sharper notes to manipulate harsher winds and storms. Varying tones can be used to demonstrate changes in the wind as well, starting loud and harsh and becoming soft and low in order to slow the wind and calm the weather.
the act of removing unwanted energies from a person/place/object.
Cleansing is generally a gentle form of removal, (as opposed to Banishing, read more about that HERE)
Instead of forcefully ejecting an influence or spirit, you simply remove the bonds that hold the energy in place and transmute that energy into something neutral.
This process is useful for ensuring that you, or the things near you are clear of energies that could negatively impact you.
It’s useful for creating a blank slate in your environment or preparing tools for spell work and keeping your energy stable and healthy.
Many witches like to cleanse their homes regularly, as well as cleansing new objects being brought into the home. Cleansing has a plethora of uses and is one of the foundational skills every witch should possess.

Don’t wanna send a pic of my alters cuz they are a MESS! But I still wanna talk about this.
Ok so I have an altar for myself and an altar for the deity I worship. My deity altar is on top of a drawer, it has a deity candle in the centre, a box for letters and drawing offerings, a tin box of offerings and a lighter. In the compartment under it is my altar. It’s got herbs, spare string, rocks, a twig that was my wand at some point but snapped in half, a few spells and much more. None of these things cost a lot. And it’s also pretty subtle. A drawer with a candle and two boxes on there? That’s normal. A drawer compartment? That’s also normal. No one has to know about my craft
do you guys prefer minimalist altars or over crowded ones?
i just saw a video on youtube from a witch who's altar was very minimal, tidy, expensive looking (they had around 3/4 of those statues of the Gods that cost like $80 each and also a huge deer skull), and overall aesthetically pleasing altar.
it made me kind of insecure about mine because i don't have the money for all those things, and also, my altar contains all the stuff i use the most, not only devotional / worship related things.
feel free to reblog this with pictures of your altars! i'd love to take a look ^^
EDIT: thank you so much to everyone that has reblogged this and gave advice to me! it really has made me feel better. also, your altars look so cool!!!!! i love them all.
This. This is how I feel most of the time
if I made sense , and you completely understood what I meant , where is the fun in that ? I desire to be confusing and spontaneous .
Correct me if I’m wrong but… I think I found a way to not get tracked while using a smart phone. I’m no expert so take all this with a grain of salt. I’m just saying what I think would work.
I’ll talk about location tracking, then web activity tracking. And when I talk about location tracking, I mean getting a phone that does have gps as well as the second phone that doesn’t. Just incase you get into an emergency and need to be saved.
Also, this isn’t supposed to be advertisement, I’m not getting paid to advertise anything. Even if I sound like I’m trying to sell you something.
Ok so my phone’s location can be tracked by gps, cell phone towers and wifi, right? I’m pretty sure, cell phone towers can find your general location but gps and wifi give a more exact location.
So I get a Benco V80s phone — which doesn’t have gps or cameras — and just remove the battery when I’m not using the phone, and only use public wifis in parking lots without cameras, my location can’t be tracked? You must be thinking “You just said wifi can be used to tracked your location! Why would you use public wifi?”
Well, that’s because I like using the internet, and I need wifi to use internet. Public wifi is better than actual home wifi, you don’t want people knowing your home address after all. Plus, after you’re done, you can disconnect from the wifi and take the battery out. It can’t track you after that so why not go to a public restaurant somewhere far from your home or base of operations?
And now you must be thinking “well what about the cell towers?” They can’t track a phone that isn’t on. And you’re literally taking the battery out, so how is that going to stop you?
Well what about getting online activity tracked? Well if live in the uk, you must be familiar with this. Mass surveillance in the uk allows a lot of government agencies to tract your online activities, or at least that’s what this article says.
But to answer to that is tor for android. Considering the fact that Benco V80s is an android phone, we could download that. If you don’t know what tor is, it’s a project that wants to, as stated on the website “Advance human rights and freedoms by creating and deploying free and open source anonymity and privacy technologies, supporting their unrestricted availability and use, and furthering their scientific and popular understanding.”
Of course, tor isn’t perfect but it’s as private and secure as it can get. And use tor without standing out, read as much as possible form it’s website, look for advice from tor users.
Get a VPN while you’re at it. That’s going to help a lot, I’m not going to write much about it here though. We’ve all seen enough nordVPN ads to know what it’s all about.
Even with all that, don’t go around doing crime. Just don’t, it’s illegal and immoral. That includes “CP” (we all know what that’s supposed to stand for), it’s just wrong. Plus, any criminal things you do on tor will probably make you stand out from the activists, privacy lovers and other normal civilians who aren’t doing crime.
Criminals have been caught using tor before, it’s not perfect, it’s just harder to track. It has more layers of encryption than google and is honestly better than duckduckgo. Read the article bellow for more information on duckduckgo.
So that’s going to at least mostly stop the tracking, what else? Honestly, I don’t know. Just don’t use your personal information online, even when signing up for things. You don’t know if that company tracks or collects data from you after all.
