And One More Thing

and one more thing

just to be clear I couldn't care less about what exo's gonna do without jongin. They better work it out. That boy has been their workhorse for years and instead of appreciation they threw him under the bus consistently for cheap laughs. Better get some background dancers or something. This aint one direction and vocals aren't the draw in of the group its performance. The fact that they had one member carry a group for that long while the others were allowed to chill doesnt even make sense. Whatever happens to the group in the next two years isn't on kai he pulled his weight with this group ten times over.

Why being a company stan for a unorganized company makes no sense.

A few days ago I saw comments on x about kai's new comeback and people being excited and shaming others for thinking he could of used like a few weeks off maybe. I'm neither here nor there, personally I don't think it's a good idea how they overpromote him for no reason, cause a successful over promotion is like with the bp girls. A show, a movie plus a concert or something. That's a good type of overpromotion, not sleeping to do a hour live WHILE YOU'RE CLEARLY SICK. Sniffling and covering a cough the whole time like what was the reason. He's not a newbie, and saying he'll work like an animal, like a slavedrive animal, like that's cute to you? I already said he was the group's workhorse and it's true but it wasn't a compliment, he literally works to the bone for that group. That's a majority of his life for a boyband, a boybrand.

He has an amazing work ethic, but he's doing it at the wrong company, I can see doing that for a nice company but its sm even he knows it's crappy. They aren't even in their afterglow phase their being shuffled out by the entertainment industry slowly but surely. So him breaking his back for that isn't loyalty it's silly.

"I guess it looks like overwork to you"

Argh company fans are so annoying it's clear when they work for the company cause who else would say something so foolish. He already says he's a workaholic, he already said he gets sick at times. He's grown he can do whatever he wants but don't say people don't know what hard work is if they think hey maybe someone working a job for almost 2 years straight and doing basic training just might need five minutes to get himself together. Like at least mentally there's nothing wrong with someone getting themselves together as a person then going back to doing their other job, it's like a basic human right. That's my problem with sm unpaid employee's they do not understand that they do not care about these people. The little bit of attention they give them is fleeting, they are basically working to pay for their future replacements, after all this is over. When the show is done they are still a person who has to live with the state of their body, THEIR BODY. Not your body or a fanclub's body, their own vessel.

Nobody want to end up disabled or hurt because of a few fleeting years of fame, it's a humanistic thing to be like dang hopefully this person can heal and see a therapist before going into the spotlight again. Cause guess what if anything happens people can and will just move on. But there's nothing the person can do about it.

I would much rather someone be in a healthy state making art than a terrible one.

I like art, I love it but someone having ...issues and then putting their career first especially when the money isn't absolutely a necessity. It's ridiculous, what will anyone do if the person gets sick, if their body turns on them, nothing, not a damn thing. I'll write about the album, but I'll do it in my own way. I refuse to just pretend everything is peachy keen cause that just isn't me. I really don't get how people can't be mature about this type of thing, like yes, he's a good artist and his work is interesting. But the way he and his company is going about it is lazy and unorganized, and it's leading him to do multiple schedules in the same day for quite literally no reason at all. He did the same thing when he was about to leave for the military. The scheduling quite literally doesn't make sense.

For example, why wait until late at night to die his hair right after a live, what's the point of that, if he could of easily just did it in the morning. Even when they were overlapping filming and he was dying his hair and he was going back and forth between bleaching and dying it on the same day, to do different shoots. It was confusing cause it's clear he was literally damaging his hair, but that's more the fault of the s.m stylist from what I understand some had to take certification tests multiple times because they kept failing, and some may simply just be former s.m staff members who were encouraged to become stylists. I've never seen a liscenced stylist do what these people do. Even in the hood, they would of gotten their verification revoked and they'd of been reported. Some s.m artists have serious scalp damage and they even complain about it, but the stylist threw them under the bus and he said its basically his clients fault that their hair is damaged because they wanted lots of colors.

Why Being A Company Stan For A Unorganized Company Makes No Sense.

I have never EVER heard a stylist blame a customer for them doing a bad dye job, there are people who change hair colors every week and that do not suffer from that.

I never have issues with staff, while watching shows like bad girls club and other reality shows I was shocked that the stylists were not only professional, but always did such a good job on sudden dyes, alternating hairstyles to give the scalp a break and fixing random issues. S.m cannot have trained these people. Personally, that person who's the main stylist he ...something about him, I noticed so many things, but like the most important thing is the hair wtf are you doing to these people's hair. That is like messing up someone's skin, are you crazy? If someone has a damaged scalp that can be messed up for life. I will probably personally make a detailed analysis, on the awful nature of hair care in the south korean pop industry. If most weren't in trainee debt they would of sued these people. It holds a special place in my heart because I know how painful it is for something traumatic to happen to your hair. It's something people rarely think about, but that can harm people's health and self esteem. A professional has to be held to higher standards and to be so lazy about the thin layer of skin that is connected to someone's brain is crazy.

But in s.m it's clear they refuse to take accountability no matter what the issue. Also as the stylist it's there job to make the call about what is best for the client, sometimes wigs are necessary. Lace fronts exist, extensions exist, but the common scalp damage in the kpop industry is not necessary. It's do to schedules piled on top of one another that aren't properly organized.

It's there is a way to take care of hair under stress they just do not know how to do it. It's really sad and I think it could be a whole talking piece just by itself, it's insane to do this to people. I want to reitirate that there are people who have been able to keep their hair dyed for long periods of time and it's not badly damaged, or they have terrible scalp issues. In kpop not only is it not an issue, but it's almost like a joke. With even these stylists saying at least they still have hair and they should be bald.

The Truth About Idol Hair Loss, According To K-Pop Hair Stylists
Koreaboo
K-Pop fans often joke about idols balding after seeing how often they change their hair, but do idols really suffer from hair loss?

Do these people even go to a proper school? No bleaching doesn't make you bald, but it does weaken your folicles, what's happening is they are putting little to no protection at all on these people's hair. They quickly bleach it and then quickly put various dyes on it.

I go into so much detail, because this is just one instance of how they want to rush rush rush. Nothing is given anytime. They quickly need the hair to change, because "hurry we just did this live, and now we need to film a video online and then we will change it again cause it has to be a secret"

Are they seven years old? Nobody cares about a stupid hair color that much to rush and sneak around like that, especially if the person could literally lose their hair. It's so childish and goofy.

They rush on everything which is why they always have a subpar result. Kji was disappointed with peaches, and I didn't want to say anything or be rude, but it's because although they had 2 years it was still rushed. How does something you work on for two years become rushed?

Filming for one music video can definitely be about a week, but for s.m it seems like a day. Even exo growl was one take and for what. Could they not do it again, they even have kji dropping his hat and picking it back up, like why?

That isn't normal, but do you know why they do that? The only reason I can think of is that they don't want to pay their staff for multiple days at a time so it's easier to pay them for one day's of very busy work than paying them for multiple days of a regular work schedule. That is, I assume why they were filming Mhmm in the cold middle of the night in a garage, instead of waiting until there was better weather conditioning.

The whole company is very disorganized, I have many issues with how they do many thing, but the sole root of the problem is that they don't have a proper organization system in place to help put schedules in a proper order. This is why they have frequent visa troubles, and leaking hair dye during concerts, and members confused about recent choreography changes while on stage.

I think a few groups have a good organized and loyal team, and some groups have teams straight from the pits of hell. Why that is probably varies, but exo has one of the worst teams out there. The amount of things I've read is almost comedic. The team was always a mess, from the managers from the stylist. A huge problem is getting a huge team to match having 12 members, the only issues is they no longer have 12 members, why do they still have a huge team. That leads to multiple people doing the same job that one person can do.

The current mode of promotion seems to be blitzkrieg style, just have a bunch of random stuff happen to get fans talking and then promote something, come out with an album whatever. The thing is behind that is hiding a grueling schedule of work where the job is never ending. There's always something. Go to this concert late at night even if you're in the f#cking military and have a tiny window of a break, it'll go viral and we can use that as leverage for more investments.

But when they are not in the military and have an empty schedule they can't even manage a youtube properly. They deleted most of the footage kji recorded. So instead of just uploading a bunch of his videos he wanted to be on his youtube, oh no just go ghost and then we can have staff stalk you everywhere so fans can go crazy over it cause they have nothing else to pay attention to. These people really get on my nerves, they steal everything from japan except the actual good ideals.

Idol culture is DEAD,

The mastermind behind some of K-pop's biggest groups has signalled warning signs over the potential waning growth of the genre.

just promote them like normal celebrities and public figures, let them travel, stop cultivating everything and scripting everything they do. It's lame. Just let them be themselves and film content when they feel like it instead of keeping them hidden until it's time to sell something. This is common sense or should be, but who wants to buy something from someone they know literally nothing about.

They are ghost for ages and then are overexposed when it's time to sell something. Like they can't change their business model even when it's clearly dying, s.m 3.0 is a complete failure and it's because the people doing their jobs aren't properly trained. Tons of people left and now a bunch of ai models are probably planning their schedules.

They didn't pay their staff so they lost so many of them who were actually useful,

I feel like avex may end up buying out their contract because s.m is clearly lost on what to do with them.

Even when it comes to sm towns. They don't even know who will show up, why are artists texting on bubble that they are confused on why their names are up their when they already said they weren't going. Was s.m going to lie and say an artist was going to be there, when they knew they weren't coming to get ticket sales up, only to then blame the artist for not showing up. Did they plan on doing the same thing with kji. Why do they keep baiting fans that they will have a full comeback when the members are not saying the same thing. Why did the members say on live that kji was going to be at the next smtown, but then on the poster he wasn't there. Now they are updating the list?

Why must they update the list when this should be planned out months in advanced. It isn't illegal to arrange for plans for work once you get out the military. They are trying to tease fans that he will be doing a solo concert, but refuse to confirm a solo concert why?

I believe it's because they plan on creating a ruckus where people hurry to buy tickets and they don't have time to plan, so they waste money on whatever they can find. Super m concert's were well organized, at least in comparison but that wasn't there money they were playing with it was Capital Records. So they do know how to do their jobs but only with the threat of a class action lawsuit.

Twin theory part uno

Twin Theory Part Uno

(Long introduction for context)

This one is so old. I did research on this, like, around the time peaches came out. I have way too many notes; some I deleted, and only God knows where they are now. I’m not spending a whole day looking for them, and I need something to focus my attention on that makes my brain cells work. So I’m going off the dome. It’s actually better when I do that because I do active research instead of looking at old notes, and I can find new info.

So what is the theory? Well, long story short, I had a theory that Kai of EXO was actually a character, which he is technically; all celebs are. They are named by their company, given a backstory, a personality, and Exo even had ‘powers.’. Like, babe, that’s a character, obvi. In this train of thought, a character has to be played by a real person. We are given that much information by the company. The actor playing the character Kai of Exo is Kim Jongin. Story over... right? Well, maybe so, but that’s not how my brain works.

Backstory to this. I actually wasn’t always an inquisitive person. I years ago was actually pretty dull. I spent most of my time worrying about grades, being a good kid, and, I don't know, iCarly, Victorious, and memes. But then I found K-pop; I was super curious about everything because it was so new to me. I had to learn everything I could. This was easy because I liked world history and learning about different cultures and stuff. I think Growl was the first mv I saw. I wasn’t too familiar with K-pop, but I did know it existed, vaguely. To be honest, it was just something taking up my time. I was just monitoring it and watching, learning names. It was during the One Direction era.

(historical context)

image

One direction the boys that walked so boybands could rise again. People talk bad about them but forget they single-handedly made boybands cool again. There were others, but the impact wasn’t the same. 1D was the blueprint of the up-and-coming boy bands that would later try and break into the American market. They cracked the code. They were parent-friendly but sensual enough to keep the tweens/teens/young adults crushing on them. Fanfiction culture was also impacted. Many forget it was a Harry Styles fanfic that made fanfic normal and somehow socially acceptable enough to come out of the shadows of fandom and be something talked about in media/out in the open. (moral of the story: don’t do them—slander won’t be tolerated)

Anyway, I was familiar with boy band fandom, the shipping, fan service, the weird pandering, etc. The only differences for me were the dancing, the odd music style, and the language. It took some time getting used to. It was so hard getting used to the cultural differences and the style of talking. The odd monologuing/sarcastic banter that’s borderline rude. It was hard to tell when people were being funny or cruel. I still have trouble with that, but years later I realize it’s cultural, but you can tell where people are coming from by their tone.

I say all this to say it was difficult adjusting. I was interested in the group and wanted to know as much about them as possible, BUT I spent so much time trying to learn everything I could, and by the time I became completely accustomed to the behavior and culture and language, I realized I didn’t even like the group that much. The music was good; at the time, the members were okay; sometimes they were funny—but not all the time. Overall, by the 2nd year of being into K-pop, I was like

image

IDK—it’s probably just me, but all the drama, gossip, and people caring that grown adults were dating... Like it was so odd because I grew up on J-14.

image

Going from everybody being super chill about their fave dating, getting married, or having babies to this

image

Grown adults getting in trouble with their fans... for what? Like it was just weird, and due to hive mentality, I was like coming into agreement with it and thinking, Oh, that’s just how things are over there... like, no." It’s not right. Just so many things were weird, but I said nothing because I didn’t want to be the odd one out.

Cause don’t get me wrong, everybody watches E! news and celeb gossip, and that’s not our business either, but that’s out in the open; that that’s people telling you this is my person, and I am dating them. Yeah, sure, some of it is fake, but it’s openly fake. This is odd because even though these dispatch couples were revealed, they don’t go places together or do interviews talking about one another. There’s a layer of shame because idols are dolls who are ‘dating’ their fans.

Now I won’t judge; all I’ll say is I got a lot of evidence suggesting this is gonna lead to an AI pixel perfect.

image

turned horror movie;

image

(mobile boyfriend 2009)

where there are apps where you can see, talk to, and text an AI version of your favorite idol

image

where you can have a fake version of your idol in your phone, but plot twist: it's a demon... Anyway, I’m getting off track; that’s another thread. The point is stuff was getting weird; I was slowly backing away and just distancing myself, but a few things were keeping me from dropping K-pop and just focusing on school and other stuff. One, like many women, once you invest emotionally into something, it’s hard to leave; two, I was a tad bit concerned about Kai; he was injured around that time.

image

and I felt bad about dropping the group because usually when I drop something, it’s for good. I may check up on it out of curiosity, but I will never care (like really care) ever again. So I was teetering.

Eventually I just gave up and decided my mental health and having my head on straight was better than being in a cult.

Long story short, around 2021ish I was like, What’s been going on?" I just went on a journey and became more aware, so somehow I came back to K-pop. To make a long story short.

So when I saw Kai’s face for the first time in a long time, I didn’t really notice anything too different. Slightly, but I thought maybe it was just aging, plastic surgery, fillers; I really didn’t know, but something was off.

So I started looking at his photos, and at this point he had released a lot of his old childhood photos. And again it wasn’t too drastic, but I’m not normal; I was looking hard.

Now, a disclaimer: this isn’t proof of anything; it’s just stuff I notice. I talk a lot, but it’s just brain ideas coming out to breathe. It’s more so just to make people see a different perspective. Use your creativity. Life is as interesting as you make it.

So when I started looking at the photos, I first paid attention to the thing that, if different, couldn’t be a coincidence; there’s no way these body parts can just change over time or with p.s. That means the face can be used but only sort of. Plastic surgery can change a lot, but upkeep changes more than the initial surgery. No surgery equals perfection, and after the surgery, minor surgeries afterwards are necessary. So it’s necessary to look at childhood photos to understand the initial facial structure (which can change but only so much); they more so develop or morph, elongate, etc., but only so much. I’d say like 90 percent of the time, most people can recognize someone from child to adult by the small features: the way they smile, or the way their teeth look, or their ears, or their eye shape. Plastic surgery is... it’s a thing, but as long as it’s not total facial reconstruction, it’s a nonfactor. You can usually tell what’s unnatural by looking at childhood photos.

image
image
image

Anyway, I looked and looked and looked, and I don’t know for sure now because it’s been a while since I’ve even considered this, but I trust my notes, and I remember I took a lot of notes, and it is one of the only theories I’ve given my golden stamp of approval. This is why I’m talking so much in the buildup. This isn’t some joke. I’m not saying it’s true, but I did work hard on it. If I could find my old notes, I’d copy and paste it, but it’d take me all day to look for it.

Okay. The theory. Twins.

Ahh, okay, I’m kinda excited it’s been so long. Okay. So I think what I thought was that it was a pair of fraternal twins. The reason why I said fraternal and identical is in theory if this is two people pretending to be one person...they don’t even look that much alike. They feature one another a lot but it’s not mirror twins which is odd because you’d think if an entertainment company was to pull one over and have a pair of twins play a single person they’d go for a parent trap deal

image

Theoretically, I thought maybe it was more of a Mary-kay and Ashley type of situation

image

who are not identical; they are fraternal. They just look extremely alike. How do people tell them apart? Well, now they look different because of different external stimuli that have an affect on appearance, but back when they used to look more alike, just watching their movies year after year it’s quite clear do to vocal tone, mannerisms, and behavior that they are two different people. It simply takes observation.

I have to sadly make a list because it’ll be too unorganized otherwise.

First I’ll put physical characteristics that are definite and most consistent. Meaning you can see the physical traits in childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Uneven ears:

Baby—toddler

image
image
image

Childhood / adolescence

image

Adulthood

Now adulthood is very tricky because the adult bone structure set in at around 16-18, and the cheekbone and skull make the ears appear small when really they are probably normal-sized; he just has a big head. So I’m just going to show the ears, both left and right, at an angle because it’s pretty much impossible to see them when he’s staring straight ahead. P.S. I don’t know what’s digitally edited or not, so I prefer candid pics, but it’s not good quality to see the details of the ear, so... it’s so-so. But ear prints, like fingerprints, may be similar for identical twins, but they’re not identical.

Men can either evolve or die alone. The women in this movement may not have a spouse or kids but they are building their own community

No dates, no sex, no weddings, no kids: Korean women are standing up to Asian machismo
EL PAÍS English
The movement of the ‘four no’s’ poses strong opposition to patriarchy in South Korea, which has the largest wage gap of the developed countr

Many South Korean women are so fed up with machismo that, in recent years, they’ve taken up a radical stance: refusing to marry, date men, have sex and reproduce. This movement—known as “the four no’s”—began in 2019. It has since spread, in the hope that the conservative government of Yoon Suk-yeol will adopt measures that promote gender equality.

Despite the solid academic credentials of women in South Korea, according to a study by Statista, the gender pay gap is scandalous: men earn 30% more than women. This makes the country, according to the Korean Herald, the most gender-unequal OECD nation.

Added to this is a poor work-life balance in South Korea, as well as a disparity in the distribution of domestic tasks. Women often assume the responsibility of raising children, pushing them to have to choose between working or being mothers. In South Korea, the work week is 52-hours-long.

The ”four no’s” is a desperate cry that arose after the incumbent South Korean president began his term. He has stated his intention to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. The repercussions of the so-called “birth strike” have been severe for the country. For three consecutive years, the country has had the lowest fertility rate in the world, with an average of 0.78 children per woman.

“Life isn’t going well for many young people, for whom getting married or having children is no longer natural,” Lee Sang-lim, a demographer at the Korea Institute of Health and Social Affairs, told The New York Times.

The country is on alert, since an average of 2.1 children per woman is estimated to be necessary to keep the population stable. In 2020, the number of deaths exceeded the number of births in South Korea. Many cities are at risk of disappearing in the coming years.

Hawon Jung, the author of Flowers of Fire: The Inside Story of South Korea’s Feminist Movement, tells EL PAÍS that the movement was sparked by the governmental policies in a country that she considers to be very conservative.

“Single mothers are stigmatized, doctors refuse to give IVF to women without a male partner—even though it’s not illegal—and out-of-wedlock births represent only 2% of the total, compared to the average of 41% for women in the OECD. Marriage and childbirth are closely intertwined; women are pressured to sacrifice their career once they have a child or get married.”

Jung believes that the origin of the problem lies in the role of women since Confucianism—the prevailing ideology before the reforms of the 20th century. The philosophy advocated submissive daughters, chaste wives and self-sacrificing mothers. These beliefs were maintained due to a militarized society, where the concept of aggressive masculinity has been prevalent throughout history. This has applied from the Korean War (1950-1953) onwards, through the military dictatorship, to the ongoing confrontation with North Korea.

According to Jung, “countries where parents are more cooperative and have good family policies—such as Sweden—or that recognize the diversity of couples, like France, have been more successful in stabilizing or even increasing their birth rates.”

The movement of the “four no’s” reflects the radicalization of a frustration that has made women even opt to give up sex. According to Jung, “young women don’t consider it worth investing their time and energy into having affairs with men,” as they find it exhausting trying to find one who doesn’t follow patriarchal norms.

Feminist movements have, historically, been very effective in the country, achieving milestones such as the decriminalization of abortion in 2021, or changes in the notions of female beauty. The “escape of the corset” movement, for instance, rejects the rigid South Korean stereotypes associated with women, such as having long hair or following the K-pop beauty concept, which imposes the obligation on women to have porcelain skin, wear perfect makeup and undergo plastic surgery. It’s increasingly common to see South Korean women and girls with short hair, or daring to wear glasses rather than contact lenses. This has been a real revolution.

But there is still a long way to go in a country where gender violence doesn’t always lead to a charge or divorce. According to a survey published by the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice, eight out of 10 men admitted to having been violent towards their partner.

Jennifer Jung-Kim, a professor of Korean History at UCLA, points out via email that, in order to solve the problems derived from the gender gap in South Korea, gender-based violence must be recognized and prosecuted as such.

“When it comes to the government and corporations, laws and policies must prohibit discrimination and guarantee equal pay and opportunities for women… especially working mothers. Socially, there needs to be a greater support system for working parents, so that either parent can take days off if a child is sick, or to attend a school meeting or event. And single parents, whether male or female, shouldn’t be stigmatized, regardless of whether they are adoptive or biological parents,” she explains.

For Jung-Kim, the most important thing is an internal change on the part of men.

“They must step up and take on household chores and childcare equally and support their wives in their career choices.”

Judy Han, a professor and vice chair of Undergraduate Affairs in the Department of Gender Studies at UCLA, points out that the movement of the “four no’s” is an invitation to rebuild society.

“Can we imagine a world where women don’t have to shoulder the full burden of reproductive and domestic work, without being degraded or exploited? Where they could have marriage equality without throwing away their professional careers? Can women imagine a world without abuse, rape and violence?” she wonders.

This approach could work in many other democratic countries where gender inequality affects birth rates. Faced with an apparently unbeatable patriarchal system, more and more women around the world are choosing to give up having children, because they cannot reconcile their personal and professional lives. The consequences can push governments to act and shape entire societies.

According to Judy Han, “anyone—men and women, straight, queer, cisgender and transgender—would benefit from taking these criticisms seriously and creating a more just society.”
