Hello Internet Friends.

Rather a serious post for my goofy blog. I know I don’t have to justify my absence to anyone, but I want to put this out there. My husband, who appears in the bio of my blog, in my icon, and in many of my most popular posts, is currently in the hospital.

We have spent about sixteen scary hours between two hospitals today, and his doctors have concluded he has a lemon-sized tumor in his brain and are planning to operate this Friday. We will not have more information until then but are trying to remain optimistic.

My queue is still full and you may see sporadic posting from me in the next few days, but expect a halt on message replies and asks for the time being.

my nephew is unerringly polite to me. this is a two year old child who says "thank you!" over and over when I make sure to get his favorite stuffie for nap time. this is a toddler who asks "help please" when he's having trouble getting his Legos apart. he says "sorry" when he bumps into me in the hallway.

why? because I do the same to him.

I ask him "hold my hand, please" when we are walking through the store. I say "thank you" when he puts away a toy to help clean up. I tell him "I'm sorry" when I put away a toy that he wasn't done with.

it isn't that hard to be nice to anyone, especially a kid. it really says more about you as a person that you can't see a child as an equal. they still deserve respect, do they not?

I think a big reason why kids have trouble learning to be polite is that no one is ever polite to them

Not sure what we are playing but next turn I am all in.

Someone has been arguing back and forth in the comment section of one of my BNHA fics for almost a year now. The world is full of people.
