I hope they do something silly for Star Wars. (They won't.)
I hope we see the destiny trio team up. (They won't.)
I thought when they found his motive video, it would reveal that he lied about his talent too.
Confession: I find it wasn’t Angie or Ibuki with the biggest wastes of talents, but rather Kokichi. While music and art are subjective, leadership skills are NOT, yet Kokichi is explicitly standoffish and can barely get anyone to cooperate with him. I love Kokichi as a character but I wish they incorporated his talent into his personality more.
Yeah I noticed some of the worst kinds of people I actively avoided on TikTok like thrist trap people, trump supporters who love to brag about their trucks and very ignorant about prejudiced people all showed up on my feed.
I’ve said this before but this is literally the equivalent of middle aged white men invading my Pinterest page. Xiaohongshu used to be so girly and chill but now it’s just reposted TikTok brianrot and high schoolers who still don’t know their geography live streaming.
They also brought their audacity with them too. No one likes fighting on apps but Americans really can’t take feedback when people call them out on their behaviour. Like buddy on this app, you gotta conform to the policies and expected behaviours.
They literally brought not only their audacity, low literacy rates but also lack of fact checking and ignorance. How can one country somehow train their people to be so rude to other cultures and act like they’re doing us a favour when they’re the ones who barged into out girly Chinese safe space?
A lot of these TikTok brats who went rushing to Xiaohongshu and are shocked that they can’t just post whatever they want is hilarious and pathetic. I mean, if you travel internationally; you follow that country’s laws or face being arrested and probably fined as well. If the country in question says no alcohol outside or no smoking in a certain area; you don’t do it.
So it’s very weird that these bratty TikTok users are quickly discovering that China is not America and a lot of shit that is cool here; isn’t cool there. So to hop on their Chinese app because of a TikTok ban is just dummy and bratty behavior. These are the types who are always playing loud music on trains because the world personally revolves around them.
But what do I expect from colonizers? They’re always disrespecting Asian countries and the Pacific Islands’ customs in real life so why should online apps be any different ?
Someone sent this in the GC. Haven’t seen arcane season 2 yet but this is just neat 🥹
Unpopular opinion but Cid’s character model in Rebirth is off. He’s too pretty when he should be more ruffed up like Barret :/
This is such an inappropriate thing to mention but I can’t help it because no one else is bringing it up. Adult Joshua has permanent bedroom eyes. I’m not sure why but his eyes are always so sultry it’s weird because I feel like it clashes with certain scenes.

What I’ve been missing in my life
Naruto and sasuke still make me so insane like I already said this yesterday but few other relationships in fiction perfectly capture the gut wrenching heartbreak of having an intense homoerotic friendship and then having a messy falling out as teenagers
I don’t know how many times I have to say this BUT folks I PROMISE YOU WILL ENJOY THE FINAL FANTASY 7 EXPERIENCE MORE WHEN YOU ACCEPT THE EXISTENCE OF THE VERY OBVIOUS LOVE TRIANGLE.
This is more so directed towards newer fans but girlies, the love triangle in that game is literally the video game equivalent of the rei vs asuka debate in anime.
Life is so much easier when you play or experience the game for what it is. I get that many of you identify with the characters, but god are there more important things to focus on 😭
Anyways, best of luck with the Rufus fight!
Love this post but please remember same sex marriage is illegal in most East Asian countries. Maybe because I’m East Asian but only queer people would see it that way. I’m sure the animators are aware of the show’ no homo status but to the average Japanese viewer, those two women are not wlw.
Shout out to the married wlw couple sitting behind the Kurusu-Suwa family maybe gay people are real after all
we love naruto
YESS
I feel like no one acknowledges that realistically, the two weren’t going to work well together in an environment where there are higher stakes. They both have different life philosophies among other things.
It’s a general life lesson everyone learns but that’s not the point of LC but an interesting aspect/deconstruction of the best friend trope working together.
Was not able to go to AX but found this from someone who did on reddit.
This is one anecdote from the director regarding the show.
"...regarding the choice/dynamic of having 2 male MCs: having observed many other media, Haoling decided that splitting 1 protagonist into 2 characters would make for better storytelling. by giving the characters only half of what they need, their abilities are more grounded, they are forced to cooperate socially, it gives the audience more entertaining and dynamic banter, and they must build trust in order to effectively accomplish tasks."
Love this statement. When I would explain to my friends why people should watch LC, I would say its a time travel show with an unique premise. There are two main leads. Imagine both are trying to ace a midterm (you can pair up with a buddy lol). One person has the paper & pencil and the other has the answer key. They can't ace the midterm alone without the help of each other's resources - so they must to work together to ace the test because they can only do it once. What seems like a simple example gets applied to solving puzzles/mysteries and finding data.
The interesting part is that the main leads have very different approaches to accomplishing the tasks that they are given. Even though they were friends for a long time, when serious things happen like working a job together, they struggle with their different mindsets and it causes a lot of strife between them.
Slowly, there became a lack of trust between the leads as both of them start to withhold info from the other. That makes it worse and it hits a boiling point.
Something so simple that happens all the time in real life yet is often never depicted in such a real sense, particularly in an animation format. I like the style of anime but I want my stories to be grounded. I want to see my struggles on the screen.
It's also kinda validating to see a friendship fall apart once you decide to become co workers with one another and realize that just because you two both like basketball, doesnt mean maybe you should run a high-stress somewhat illegal business together right after uni to pay off debt :/
