Naruto is like the greatest love story told accidentally by a guy who with the best intentions, really needed a second opinion.
As someone who is watching Naruto for the first time as an adult, despite being an anime fan for years- I think I honestly may have underestimated how impactful the show is.
I vaguely remember having some friends in elementary school in the year 2008, secretly shipping Naruto and Sasuke but I never bothered to learn more about that because I didn’t watch the show.
Now I see the vision. Honestly I’m quite shocked parents didn’t learn how gay Naruto and Sasuke were and didn’t protest to stop their kids from watching it in the early to late 2000’s. Like you’re telling me, millions of children were watching Naruto and Sasuke declare their love towards each other (platonically I suppose) and just staring at the TV screen, taking it all in with eyes glued to the action. Inspirited by what they say, they went to a website called YouTube and made some of the first AMV ever with Linkin Park playing over the two characters fist fighting eachother in the most angsty way ever?
Damn
Naruto is fucking insane bc as someone who's never actually watched the anime, I'll have just THE gayest shit pop up on my dash of Sasuke and Naruto, and when I go "oh hey nice edit, this looks really good" I FIND OUT ITS CANON OFFICIAL MEDIA DIRECTLY FROM THE ANIME??? Insane. How did they get away with that.
love when i look up a song i used to listen to exclusively via anime amv music videos and the official video is the cheesiest shit i've ever seen
I thought they both secretly liked each other when I played the game lol
Confession: I like Kokichi x Himiko. There I said it.
I thought when they found his motive video, it would reveal that he lied about his talent too.
Confession: I find it wasn’t Angie or Ibuki with the biggest wastes of talents, but rather Kokichi. While music and art are subjective, leadership skills are NOT, yet Kokichi is explicitly standoffish and can barely get anyone to cooperate with him. I love Kokichi as a character but I wish they incorporated his talent into his personality more.
Thanks!!!
Firstly so sorry for the graphic image. I found this on the Danganronpa reddit. Also MAJOR DANGANRONPA V3 SPOILERS.
I feel like this very crudely drawn image of Kokichi’s dead crushed up corpse is the last piece I needed to fully accept his death.
Not being able to see the state of the body during the investigation, created a barrier for me to fully understand Kokichi’s exit out of the main story. It just felt like he “left” rather than died.
Additionally, none of the characters saw the dead of the body and that definitely had an impact on their attitude towards him. His death was brushed off because they also never got to see his dead body. Maki didn’t investigate the body and such. There was no opportunity to be traumatized but ample to refuel their hatred towards him.
This is why his absence during the class trial wasn’t discussed to its extent such as with other characters. Imagine seeing the body and then going to the trial where the exisal was talking in his voice. It would be weird. I know for some people, not seeing the body meant that maybe both Kaito and Kokichi were alive and that they used another body to substitute a killing. After Monokuma revealed that it wasn’t possible to do so, I don’t remember anyone who acknowledged the body afterwards due to how the trial was going.
I’m no Kokichi Stan but I did warm up to his character pre-chapter 4. I always felt that his death and trial were lackluster and lacked needed impact. Personally, I thought the trial wasn’t very good but seeing a depiction of the body has changed my opinion on the trial.
Kaito also never saw Kokichi afterwards because he never lifted the press after it crushed him. Kaito doesn’t really have to carry the weight of the plan and his actions, because he never gets to see the honest result of them. Therefore, he was able to focus on the plan to foul Monokuma and strict to the script that a dead boy wrote.
Danganronpa V3 had many victims where the remaining cast had a short mourning period for (Rantaro, Ryoma and Miu). Each student had different circumstances where the cast couldn’t comment too much on their dead peer. Rantaro distanced himself from others, and no one was particular close to Ryoma or Miu.
However, Kokichi was one where almost no one mourned his death.
It’s interesting for sure. I think more people mourned the losses of the culprits more than the victims.
What I’ve been missing in my life
Naruto and sasuke still make me so insane like I already said this yesterday but few other relationships in fiction perfectly capture the gut wrenching heartbreak of having an intense homoerotic friendship and then having a messy falling out as teenagers
I THOUGHT YALL WERE LYING THERE IS SO MUCH HOMOSEXUAL TENSION IN NARUTO
They deserved to have a fistfight
My initial reaction too. Truly a cursed image.

Maki didn’t investigate the body and such. There was no opportunity to be traumatized but ample to refuel their hatred towards him. Remember when Nagito’s body was found? The characters wouldn’t stop talking about the stab wound and the spear. The graphic depictions of Nagito stabbing himself added to the nightmare fuel situation. Like SOMEONE did that to his body vibe. In this trial, that wasn’t discussed in a manner that resembled 2-5. Not being able to see the graphic nature of a body being crushed flat means the characters can avoid it. Again, put yourself in the situation you felt when you initially saw Kokichi’s death. Seeing his crushed body would absolutely impact your experience because it’s like DANG, WHO DID THIS?! Did he really deserve a death like that? And so on.
This is why his absence during the class trial wasn’t discussed to its extent such as with other characters. Imagine seeing the body and then going to the trial where the exisal was talking in his voice. It would be SUPER weird. Personally, my entire view on Kaito would drastically change more if we both saw the state of the body. Like learning that Kaito killed Kokichi in the most violent way possible. This is no stab to the neck or strangulation where a character might crack a joke (throwback to Ryoma, Miu and even Nagito). I remember thinking that their plan failed because the gang ended up figuring out their scheme and there is a viewpoint that Kokichi’s plan failed. If it did, he died for nothing and in the most violently unnecessarily way possible too.

Anyways - I recommend reviewing 3-5 again and seeing this image somewhere during the investigation. I promise, my opinion on 3-5 drastically improved afterwards.
Mahiru had such potential with everyone.
Confession: I think Hajime, Mahiru and Nagito have an amazing platonic chemistry and should have been the main trio in SDR2! Initially I just paired them together because they’re my top three characters in Danganronpa, but after thinking about it a bit they make so much sense to me… they struggle with similar problems but face it in different ways, it would be nice to see how their morals clash as they work together in investigations, class trials ecc ecc… they also have a lot of things in common & imo would bond over that too in someway,,, their palettes also kinda match, it’s a shame there is practically no content of them together…also imagine the comedic potential of their interactions..
I don’t know how many times I have to say this BUT folks I PROMISE YOU WILL ENJOY THE FINAL FANTASY 7 EXPERIENCE MORE WHEN YOU ACCEPT THE EXISTENCE OF THE VERY OBVIOUS LOVE TRIANGLE.
This is more so directed towards newer fans but girlies, the love triangle in that game is literally the video game equivalent of the rei vs asuka debate in anime.
Life is so much easier when you play or experience the game for what it is. I get that many of you identify with the characters, but god are there more important things to focus on 😭
Anyways, best of luck with the Rufus fight!
art for a project im working on that i never ended up using
Someone on his team needs to tell him that his shredded belt skirt isn’t working for him.
ALSO WHY DID HE WEAR HIS NORMAL BATTLE OUTFIT ON HIS BIG DAY?!? My man was out there during his whole ceremony wearing that?!?! Change it up man it’s your BIG DAY.
Rufus isn’t even a hard boss he is just an annoying boss.
Spoiled brat i aint got time for you and your stupid pettiness with your privileged ass thinking your feelings matter more than the crisis at hand, go away!
YESSSS!!
It’s so confusing to finish the games and see the fanfics of him, cloud and secondary characters and EVERYONE is mis-characterized because it’s written from the perspective of someone who watched ff7 crisis core with no context and had to rely on typical anime tropes to somewhat understand it. If the writer doesn’t even know what Jenova is, it hurts the story. Also like who is your target audience boo? Other people who have not played the games and only understand the characters through fanart?
Yall I love all of you Sephiroth girlies but I have a big favour to ask yall.
PLEASE PLAY THE GAMES. Dont just watch only watch the 40 minute Sephiroth cutscene on YouTube and base your entire perception of the guy. If yall at least learned the plot of the game, you would really appreciate the character more.
MORE OVER, THE QUALITY OF SEPHIROTH FANFICS WOULD INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY IF YALL COULD REFERENCES SOME OF THE GAME’S LOCATIONS AND NAIL DOWN SUPPORTING CHARACTER MOTIVATIONS AND PERSONALITY.
Some of yall don’t know Sephiroth’s characterization and seem to go off your personal headcanons or use typical anime tropes when writing him. Sephiroth isn’t some anime bad boy, he’s vindictive, petty and scary soft spoken. Just look at how he flicked Aerith’s blood off his masamune towards Cloud. Or when his hand kept running up Cloud’s back and up unto his neck in one of Cloud’s hallucinations. I get that from watching clips out of context, his actions might seem like a dom daddy and all but he’s more than that if you see it through different perspectives. Like don’t forget, he’s trying to destroy the world with a giant meteor crashing down and wiping everyone out.
Just putting it out there.
THISSS^^^
We NEED MORE GAMER GIRLIES OR THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF SEPHY FANFICS. People who love Sephy and played the game will look up the fanfics after playing or something, only to find it mainly or noticeably coming from folks who didn’t get his character because they only watched crisis core on YouTube and skipped half of the cutscenes that didn’t feature him. That are they watched advent children and based his entire dom daddy personality on that alone and nothing else.
We are fully capable of writing good Sephy fics if more people took the time to actually enjoy FF7, not just watch the spin off material and call it a day.

This will happen. Black robed men snowboarding or how else will they get to the northern crater?
i imagine this is how remake part 3 is going to start.
Aerith thoughts
I like to imagine that Aerith slowly got over Zack after going on her adventure saving the world with friends.
For those who have been in relationships or at least had a boyfriend or girlfriend in highschool, it can be really hard to get over heartbreak if your environment and the people around it don’t change.
For Aerith, her first boyfriend by all accounts ghosts her one day after months to years of causally dating and she is still in contact with his co workers, saying they can deliver letters to him if she wants. It’s natural for her to assume that he just found another girl or died during one of his missions.
Crisis core (a terrible game btw) adds context to their relationship and honestly as someone who was a little interested in their relationship dynamic, I wasn’t expecting the few scenes they have together to be hanging out for a little bit but then Zack gets a call from work so he’s gotta go.
It does add context to the player that hey dude maybe Zack did ghost Aerith. He seems like an amazing person but the game chose to show that he was always too busy and he had other relationships to tend to.
On Aerith’s end, it seems she really enjoyed being with Zack but her time with him was always cut short. That must of really sucked for her because I bet she always wished he stayed longer. To me (the player), it felt like Zack didn’t or couldn’t prioritize Aerith in their relationship and Aerith knew and wished something would change.
Rebirth adds new context with two things: Zack WAS OBSESSED with Aerith. Couldn’t wait to tell his buddies about her. That’s sweet but not really the vibe I got from him in Crisis Core and def not in the OG when he was barely a character.
Another thing is that Aerith rather quickly gets over Zack (whether or not she knows it) after meeting Cloud, Tifa and gang. Having a new boy to mess with was def a fun change in her life but also having a bestie like Tifa must have made her feel comfortable talking about her experiences with Zack as shown in Rebirth. When she met the two, her relationship with Zack still defined her to some degree or at least was one of her biggest hang ups she wanted to inform people about because it was on her mind.
What’s interesting is that before meeting Cloud, Aerith is stuck in this cycle that I’m sure many people who experience heartbreak know well but being stuck in the same environment but without someone you hold dear. For me, it felt like I could never get out of feeling like I was ever going it to get over it. However for me, I got so much better and later got over that person when I got out of that environment I associated the heartbreak with and reconnected with some friends of mine. I believe the timeline of Aerith meeting Cloud and gang to her death, it was around one to two months. I think Aerith legitimately got over Zack (maybe 80%) by nibelheim or if you get her date it’s like 100% by return to gold saucer.
All Aerith had to do was create new memories with new people who gave her a new purpose in life. Not only that but she was travelling 24/7 saving the world with her bestie and new boy toy and a gang of new friends. She left her home and adventured off to actually live life and stop Sephiroth. I’m sure this fulfills her fantasies of creating memories with people and just being a normal young woman. I mean she was kinda living the typical boyfriend girlfriend dynamic but she wanted more out of it. I think Aerith really fell in love with Cloud because he prioritized her more than Zack regardless of infinity levels just from Cloud saving Aerith from Shinra and other smaller things that happened in Rebirth. She def said life got better during her cosmo canyon speech. I will say that in the OG, her relationship with Zack was not as important to her character as it is in the remake series. In the OG, I felt like the story was telling to tell me that she doesn’t want to talk about it because she wants to still look available to Cloud/the player but still have different characteristics (past boyfriend, been in a relationship, experience older girl option, missing boyfriend, etc) when compared to the other girls.
To summarize, I like how they showed Aerith getting over one of her biggest personally obstacles which was her missing boyfriend from her teenage years. She let it be one of her defining aspects of her character and now she’s so much more than a past heartbreak. She could actually enjoy life until her end 🥹
It must suck for Sephiroth knowing that Don Corneo got closer to sleeping with Cloud than he ever will.
Sephiroth really does care for Cloud at all times, so as a result, maybe he is always in danger.
if anyone bothered to ask Cloud why his narrated flashbacks feature Sephiroth telling him he did a good job and looking into his eyes in slow-mo.
can you imagine cadet cloud seeing seph being all "such a puppy" to zack and then furiosly writing his own self insert fanfiction where sephiroth says that but romantically
Sephiroth and Zack are having a legit tender moment sharing something that was once used as a term of affection by Angeal and meanwhile Cloud is right there aggressively spamming paragraphs of fic in his head.
I can't wait to see more tbh. It's really, really fun to see them acting so weird and chummy around each other. Glad to see that Seph and Zack were at least pretty warmly bonded to each other before...you know.
I wish I had as much sexual tension with my inner demons as Cloud Strife
WHY DOES MY UNI COURSE MATERIAL HAVE CLOUD X SEPHIROTH YAOI IN IT
Rebirth Date Spoilers part 2
Oh my gosh I can’t believe I made a post complaining about both sides cherry picking lines to support their ship and now that comment section is filled with people from both sides cherry picking lines AAAAAAAAA
COMPLAINING ABOUT IT DOESN’T MAKE IT GO AWAY REGARDLESS BECAUSE PEOPLE FROM BOTH SIDES WILL REITERATE THAT THEY THINK THEIR OPINION IS CORRECT IN A POST WHERE IM COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM
I’m not on anyone’s side!!! I literally got so annoyed that I got Yuffie as my date because I had a feeling that something would happen during either Aerith or Tifa’s dates.
BOTH CLOTIS AND CLERITHS: There is a love triangle! Stop trying to deny it because it’s very annoying. People just want to enjoy the golden saucer dates and honestly the last three chapters of rebirth without people cherry picking lines.
This game is a giant analogy for renewable resources and late stage capitalism but all the discussion outside gameplay or the multiverse has been about ships!
People can’t enjoy random things like character dialogue, story beats and side quests unless it has to do something with the two main DOUBLE heroines and love interests.
Rebirth Date Spoilers
Yall if you got the Tifa date in chapter 12 - you’re gonna be pissed about what happens in chapter 13 and 14.
On a serious note, people have been so disingenuous about the Aerith vs Tifa dates. Both sides cherry picked specific lines from their respective date scenes to prove one side over another. When you look at the whole thing, it’s more complicated than that.
Additionally, if you’re purposefully rude to one girl during your gameplay because you hate the character, then I don’t think the outcome you got was the “intended” canon.
Cloud likes both girls and no, he wouldn’t treat one girl worse than the other “canonically” - you the player made it that way. The outcome that you got from doing that is what you wanted and that’s fine because it’s your play through of it - but it doesn’t mean it’s “canon” or else you will be so surprised in the last two chapters when Cloud gets a lot of screen time with one girl over the other.
I don’t mean this as just a dig at Tifa fans but I think her fans are more aggressive than Aerith fans, just from some peoples reactions to chapters 13 and 14.
Unpopular opinion but Cid’s character model in Rebirth is off. He’s too pretty when he should be more ruffed up like Barret :/
