The Catwoman Family

Selina Kyle attempts to rob Wayne Manor early in her career. Bruce catches her but the two strike up an instant rapport. Selina "Gives up" her stealing ways and the two eventually marry.

The newlywed couple decided to go to the circus where they watch the Flying Grayson's fatal show. They quickly adopt young Dick Grayson who soon joins Selina as the first ever Stray.

Some years go by with Bruce still none the wiser to his family's hidden life. On one particular day out the Wayne family is found strolling along Robbinson park when a young thief snatches Selina's purse. The trio chase down the purse snatcher as he ducks into an abandoned apartment building. Dick is the first to find the younger boy who is now huddled with an even smaller kid, purse held tightly against his chest. Dick easily recognizes the youngest boy as Timothy Drake.

Tim's parents had died on an overseas trip, and their entire fortune was lost in legal courts. Tim was forced into foster care but quickly ran away and was forced to live out on the streets. This is where he meets Jason Todd, an orphan himself the two formed a strong bond as they attempted to survive on Gotham's deadliest streets.

Selina can't help but pity the poor boys. And having noticed the skills with which Jason was able to evade capture for some minutes she offers to adopt the young boys. Bruce is shocked but Selina quickly reminds him of the background she comes from and the way they had meet. She explains that she wants to help the poor duo live the life she has been given and never resort to stealing again.

And though she may love the two boys deeply even she knows the real reason for her kindness is found in growing the ranks of The CatFamily.

(I'm sure others have come up with similar concepts to this. If so, I hope I was able to add enough of my own flair to make this post stand out. Alfred is still a big part of Bruce's life though he feigns ignorance over Selina's night life. Bruce has his inklings of what she may be doing but has never followed through with his assumptions because he loves his wife too much. And despite the way I worded the last paragraph I do want to point out that Selina through all of this one hundred percent loves her kids. Yes, she uses them for her gain, but she treats them as if they were her own kids. Not sure how Damian or Steph, Cass and all the others would fit in. But hey that's up to your own interpretation. au where instead of wanting to murder his own replacement, jason just decides to. replace somebody else. and that's now dick ends up in an increasingly ridiculous back and forth fight between himself and some random fucker who keeps showing up in a nightwing costume pretending to be him

dick's never been more pissed off in his life. theres literally nothing he did to deserve this, and now he has to fight for the vigilante persona HE created? it only gets worse because the more frustrated dick gets about the whole situation, the funnier this fake nightwing seems to find it.

it gets personal when damian starts calling the fake nightwing his big brother too. of course, jason was there first, but dick doesn't know that. and it's driving him fucking insane

he thinks that he's got the guy when he stands on top of a building in the middle of a massive fight, tries to do a quadrupal somersault, and promptly eats shit in front of everybody, but instead of realising he's a faker now the rest of the underworld thinks that nightwing's losing his touch.

he cries in alfred's arms at the injustice of it all.

There are a few 'Jason Stayed with the All Caste' stories floating around, but I think it might be funnier if an All Hands On Deck situation happened and Talia had to join him in Stabbing Cthulhu, so they dropped Damien off without explanation and Bruce only found out about Jason X months later when Robin II's old 'SOS World Ending Threat' code was entered into a com system somewhere.

Cue Damien crowing "I told you they didn't abandon me, they were preoccupied!"

i do very much like the idea of damian growing up under jason’s influence at the league and thus not giving a shit about being ‘the son of batman’. like he had jason, fuck that old guy who apparently donated sperm. so when talia sends damian to bruce to train so they could go off on other work its less damian being like ‘i am the blood son it is my right to eventually inherit the cowl’ and more like ‘…..:/ man ahki was right. batman aint shit’ and bruce is genuinely just so bewildered hes just ‘what. wait what.’

they’re training in the batcave and bruce is like ‘im going to show you this move on how to non-lethally take out an attacker’ and damian is texting jason from the other side of the room just ‘no thanks. i’ve been taught everything i need to know already.’

‘what do you mean by that’

‘when you run out of bullets, throw the gun into the crotch of whoever is left.’

‘excuse me?’

‘i was also told to say a cool catchphrase every time i cock the gun. ahki gave me a list to memorise.’

bruce has no idea who this child is but he’s starting to get concerned about who the fuck raised him before he got to the manor. jason is cackling from 2 continents away
