Along with the undeniable effects of the bolstered magic on the realms as a whole, specific angels and demons were particularly vulnerable to what has been dubbed power-sickness. Power sickness is typically found in the ranks just below Father and the Demon King- so, Diavolo, Barbatos, and Michael. Power sickness occurs because these demons and angels have strong enough powers that amplifying them is dangerous, without being powerful enough that their bodies are able to handle this increase in power.
In angels, this manifests as an extreme fever, as though they’re burning from the light inside them. Their body will begin to glow and radiate a heat that makes others around them uncomfortable, but is only a true danger to themself.
In demons, this manifests as intense cold. All body heat seems to vanish, replaced with an unnerving cold that brings dread to anyone who comes in contact. The surroundings of an afflicted demon will appear darker, as though they are radiating the darkness inside of them.
In both, chronic pain and lethargy are common symptoms.

I have a question. How has Beel been doing? probably horrible, I'd imagine. but.. the food problem. how would he be handling it? would he resort cannabalism? or...?
...good question. I never entirely figured that out. I toyed with a few things, but never found something I really liked.
A while ago, someone brought up the idea of Beel taking a bite out of Belphie, and there being a big bite mark on Belphie reminding Beel of what he did. I do like that idea.
I also toyed with the possibility of the brothers sealing Beelzebub in some kind of artifact or pocket-dimension to keep him from eating them. I have mixed feelings on this one. On one hand, it probably makes the most sense because we all know Beel would be incredibly dangerous otherwise, but something just doesn't feel right.
There's also the possibility of Beel turning his hunger on anyone who threatens the brothers. The brothers would face many threats from all parties during the war, and Beel would have no problem munching down a few of them. He may get his sustenance from their enemies on the battlefield.
Honestly, I'd love to hear other opinions on this.
I’ve added links in each of the lore posts to the previous and next posts in the lore series, to make the lore easier to navigate. I’m also working on a special Lore VIII and Lore IX- though those won’t be leaving my drafts for a loooooong while, as they’re essentially an epilogue to this AU.
(Additional content taking place at any point in the lore will still be created and accepted after the epilogue, this AU project is never going to officially “end”. I just want to make sure all the major stuff is out there for context before releasing all the lore, and I want to give you guys some time to digest the current lore before continuing.)
So I've been reading some of @obeymearmageddonau 's Armageddon Au and decided to write a drabble for it
But first let's make some Characters for it
-There will be several OCs present in this
Arc(Archie)- He can be considered the 'MC' of his area.
He is one a several newly discovered hybrids (Human, Angel, Demon in that order of what genes are more dominant)
Like most hybrids in this and any future drabbles he has health problems originating from the conflicting DNA
Unlike the MC in the game the connection to the three realms doesn't have any effect on any of the realms but is instead destroying him from the inside out
He has access to a pair of wings and horns with a tail
These are considered his angel and human forms
He is the vice leader of a survivor group
Arch(Archelle)-Can also be considered the MC
She is Arc's older sister and the second hybrid known to their survivor group
Unlike her brother the Demon genes have fully suppressed her angel genes leaving her healthier in most aspects but with the drawback of having violent seizures and internal bleeding when coming into prolonged contact with angels
She has horns, wings, a tail, and darkened skin along her forearms similar to elbow length gloves
She is the leader of their survivor group
Angel-A side character of this story
The youngest sister and adopted cousin of Arc and Arch
While she is high school aged for most of this she is physically a child due to her demonic genes suppressing her human genes
Even though her demon side is dominant she has an incredibly weak angel (but still stronger that human) form
For her safety her other forms were sealed away the second her siblings found a way
This has a negative impact on her health but is still safer than Arc's situation
I am trying very hard to cut this. Sorry for the length
Like seriously.
Imagine this.
Black background with white text reading “ “I gave you my sword, my heart and my faith."
fading to an image underneath, of Raphael’s silhouette staring out into a destroyed Celestial Realm
“But now the sky is burning, and I scream and wonder...”
Gahhhhh I have so many ideas in my head if only I had skill
Some day I’d really like to get art of this AU captioned with matching “Together, Against The Sisters” lyrics
I just remembered the Ring of Light is a thing and it could have some super interesting possibilities in this AU given its ability to regulate out-of-control magic.
I have some ideas for Mephistopheles in this AU, but I don’t know enough about him just yet to make a full character file. Will say this though: his little brother died when the Devildom was darkened. Haven’t decided whether it was from freezing, starvation, falling to his death in the darkness, or being cannibalized by other demons, but he’s definitely dead.
I guess this event confirms that Raphael does actually like Solomon’s cooking and isn’t just planning to use it as a murder weapon or smth
Hi everyone I’d really appreciate it if you could drop a follow on my sideblog!

The Celestial Realm, though always bright, has gradually grown to be unbearable due to the immense influx of power. Sunburns turned to heat blisters, which then turned to burn scars.
Most angels have developed severe damage to their eyes.
Many of them, their eyes are completely destroyed. Not only are their eyeballs themselves seared until they were mere crimson spheres, but the area around their eyes is red and raised in scar tissue. These angels have no sense of sight anymore. Though these are by far the most disturbing-looking, in one way these angels are lucky: due to all the nerves being burned, they are not in pain. Simeon is in this category.
Others suffered moderate burns. They have burns on certain areas of their eye, or the burns on their whole eye are minor enough that they have retained at least some sense of vision. Many of these angels suffer severe pain from their injuries, severe enough to make many to beg Father to have their eyes removed. Father refused, as an agonized soldier is more useful than a blind one. Many of these angels took matters into their own hands, preferring the temporary agony of removing their eyes themselves to the constant pain of keeping them. Raphael is in this category, but elected to keep his eyes.
And some, the luckiest of the bunch, had minor burns. Their vision tends to be quite blurry, but they can still make out fuzzy shapes, colors, and movement. This includes Luke, whose strong protective magic kept his vision miraculously in tact. However, Luke hides his vision at Simeon’s demand to avoid recruitment into the war.
Because of this, most angels wear blindfolds. Many angels' eyes are too far-gone for the blindfold to be hindering them in any real way, and they don't want others seeing their scarred eyes and discovering their weakness. They'd rather the demons think they're fighting with their eyes closed in an arrogant statement of “I can defeat you even with my eyes closed” rather than discover the dire truth.
Most angels also have most of the feathers of their wings scorched off, making it nearly impossible to fly.

Does the cast interact with the MC in the Armageddon au or they never meet?
Hi, thanks for the question!
That’s a good question. The simple answer is, no, they don’t meet. The long answer is:
MC will never have an “official” role in this AU- in other words, I myself will never make any content pertaining to MC. The reason for this is pretty simple- MC doesn’t really have a set role here. Because the Exchange Program was never created, MC never met the brothers, never made the pacts, never found out their angel heritage, probably doesn’t even know demons and angels exist until the war breaks out. They are, for all intents and purposes, just another random human.
However... I am very open to the idea of people incorporating their own MCs/OCs into this AU. We need more human characters, after all, and this AU does encourage other people’s contributions overall. Even "just another random human” could have an interesting spot in the AU- they could join the humans’ military forces fending off the demons and angels, they could be just a civilian trying to survive in the crossfire of war, they could meet other characters when the war is moved to the human world, etc. All of these are avenues that could be explored and I don’t want to limit to just one. MC is a very vague, nebulous concept very much left up to interpretation. So while MC doesn’t exactly have a real role in the core of this AU, different interpretations of MC can be fit into this AU by other people.
