no cuz I felt the same way even at the time when I saw it and didn’t hold as many qualms with the movie overall as I do now I thought that phrasing was super weird and really out of character was it supposed to be humorous? if so then… how? like that’s a rather bleak and grim place to go if you’re trying to make a joke and it’s also just… not at all what happened what was even the point of that line lol only point seemed to be to hint at possible tension in the future for ned and peter and even in that context… is such a stupid idea lol now we got ppl on the spider-man subreddit praying that he’s becomes the hobgoblin and I can’t imagine any worse direction they could go in with what they’ve already set up for the future storyline of mcu’s spiderman (​precisely cuz there has actually been hardly any set up to support that specific theory) and the only thing they’ve used to support that theory specifically is that one line and that line makes no sense to compare and contrast mcu’s peter and ned’s relationship to raimi’s peter and harry’s relationship cuz that just outright was not harry and peter’s relationship? in any regard???

the white lotus the way I was telling my mom from the very beginning that something was going to happen with them the older brother being overtly hypersexual and sexualizing both his brother and sister there was that whole moment where he was questioning to his face whether he should masturbate in front of him and his brother checking out his ass the next morning and eyeing him in every other scene I really hate the older brother with a burning passion (the fact my own younger brother despite not liking him either didn’t understand why his behavior was gross made him worst to me) and I was thinking the entire time that it was like a commentary on toxic masculinity his younger brother (ignoring the crush on him) seemed really sweet till saxon started encouraging him to judge the sister (just remembered half way through one of their names lol I’ll just edit this later) there’s saxon’s whole obsession with being hyper masculine (which correlates to his hyper sexuality) and the brother seems so obviously (although sometimes doubtful) interested in being like him and in that way I think the incestous relationship between them is actually supposed to be allegorical for men’s relationships with each other and with masculinity and then the parents role in all of that being extra interesting anyways there’s a lot more I could say but I’m not going to rn I really like the sister and thought she was like the only normal-ish person in the family and her relationships with each of her family members was pretty relatable I’ll add the other tags later now with that all being said of course in tumblr fashion ppl are going crazy over these two and I gotta be honest even if this did make me a little uncomfortable I can’t really blame anyone can I

spiderman spiderverse green goblin tssm spectacular spiderman just chugging down milk sometimes I wonder what kids think when seeing scenes like this cuz I remember as a kid being confused by stuff like this cuz it was obvious to me that it was supposed to be alcohol and I just couldn’t understand why it had a weird color to it like thinking about ppl actually just chugging down straight up plain milk almost makes me sick I mean I wonder if more kids today would also think scenes like this are weird at least they could pretend it was like apple juice and keep it the same color but apple juice also made me really sick to drink as a kid I think I only really tolerated orange juice actually entering into adulthood I’ve been drinking orange juice a lot more lately like almost a glass or two everyday I mean finding an alcohol equivalent for children might mean finding a drink that isn’t exactly pleasant which is actually why it’s so impressive someone would just be willing to chug it down but also like I just think some kids would wonder why the character in screen would drink something they didn’t like and obv the other things I said I don’t think other kids dislike but I mean plain milk? don’t know where I was going with that but anyways should probably stop rambling in the tags
