Sometimes I just think about how nicely Twilight is treated within the family. Sure this mission has its challenges (and according to the manga summary it's one of his most demanding ones), but it's the first time he gets to live with a kid and see her growth and genuine effort to make him proud and him actually being proud of her, and to be in a "relationship" with Yor where they are both honest about the fact that they're pretending and he doesn't have to fake his feelings for her, and she still is so kind and supportive, and most surprising of all, a dog that he gets to be honest with and that absolutely adores him.

And like you know this is probably the first time that this combination happens to him in a mission.

He's directly seeing a little child be happy and have innocent fun

He's being honest (to a degree) and is treated nicely without the need of manipulation

And he's living with a pet that he actually gets to bond (heh) with

And I just sit and think about how much that makes him open up and start feeling safe within this family. His life is full of dangers and he's coming in contact with the worst people around, but when he returns home, he can just be, and the company there will just be kind and affectionate. And again I think it tells a lot about his humanity that that touches him, even if he tries to tell himself that it doesn't.

i love ooc sweet tom riddle. think about how lovely he'd be only for you, because you're the only one who can melt his heart (before you two got together he hated this weird and new feeling that'd take him out of his routine but soon learned how you're the thing he most wants; needs). and he can't say no to you, ever. you wanna spend time with him but he's studying? forget it, he's cuddling you. you wake him up to do something together? no matter how stupid he might think the something is and how it's not letting him enjoy his sleep, he enjoys much more to spend time with you, so he's going. when alone he'd show you his sweetest side that no one else sees (that's why people would think you're crazy when you say tom is adorable, like, the head boy being called adorable?), calling you pet names (personal favs are love, sweetheart and doll), having you on his lap while he reads, not sure if tom would baby you when you're sad, prob would be bad with comforting words and think he's doing his best when he says he'll kill the one who made you cry (if you tell him not to, he won't) and he will be glad to hold you close and kiss your face — and maybe try another way to make you forget about what made you sad. in public, he's still keeping you close, just by being next to you. if you're the clingy type, his heart will ache every time he feels you being the one to start touches, such as holding his hand or kissing his cheek and even though he's not a PDA guy he won't pull away, maybe flinch with a cheek kiss and if he notices anyone staring he's going to give them an intimidating look.

i love every single one of those, but the last one IS JUST PERFECT ‼️‼️ 😭😭

Spy x Family Headcanons

All right! Thanks to some mutuals' encouragement, I decided to write down some of my Spy x Family headcanons. Some are more theories than hc, but hey, it's all in good fun 😊

1.Yor will be the one who kisses (or tries to kiss) Twilight. It fits her character arc, there's been some crazy hints and she has a crush on her husband.

2.When Yor confesses to Twilight (or kisses him), he'll have the opportunity to set up a honey trap again. He'll think it's convenient for Operation Strix; he'll rationalize the same thing he did during the bar date and conclude a honey trap is the right thing to do for the mission. However, when he sees Yor's eyes and realizes she's totally in love with him, he's going to freak out and won't be able to go through with it. Which brings me to my next hc...

3.Twilight is going to reject Yor. It will be devastating for both of them. Yor will think she's not good enough for him to love her when it's exactly the opposite: he's in love with her and that's why he rejected her. He doesn't want her to be another honey trap. In fact, this will probably be how Twilight realizes he's in love with his wife.

4.Anya knows her parents are in love. She can read their mind! More on that here.

5.At some point, Twilight and Yor are going to share a bed. It will be very exciting because it will probably happen right when they're both in the middle of figuring out their feelings for each other.

6.Maybe I'm wrong about this one but I still think Martha is somehow involved with The Garden. That whole arc was about her, yet she wasn't in the cover of the volume. I'm thinking her story is not over; we still have to know how she ended up with the Blackbells.

7.The relationship between Damian and Donovan Desmond is a foil of the relationship between [Redacted] and his father. It will be a trigger and mess things up for Twilight, because he will see his own story with adult eyes now.

8.Twilight's dad is alive. And not only that; I suspect he's a double agent. In fact, there's a chance we won't know which side he really belongs until the very end.

9.Anya was an accident. I don't think Project Apple experiments with children, but Anya was just born there so they experimented on her. I'm not sure if she was an accident between two prisoners of war or between a prisoner of war and a scientist, but I think she's one of a kind.

10.There's a third country involved in all this. It has been casually mentioned a few times.

11.Yor will be the one who leaves the Forgers first. Here are some reasons/theories of why this could happen. This, of course, will throw everything out of balance. Which brings me to...

12.Without Yor, there's a chance that Twilight will do something really stupid. Whether it's for the sake of the Operation or even thinking he's protecting Anya. It will be the wrong choice.

13.Yuri is not a bad guy. He's just a kid who has been brainwashed with nationalism. I think he'll be the one who discovers Twilight's identity (he already suspects Loid). At some point, he'll probably have to choose between his family and his duty to his country. He'll choose his family, of course. (More on Yuri here).

And finally, my favorite hc/theory, the [Redacted Theory]:

14.Yor is not in love with Loid or Twilight. She's in love with [Redacted], which means Yor sees the real person behind the mask, that it's impossible for him to hide his true self from the person he loves and, of course, that she's in love with his true self. I love this headcanon so much I wrote a whole fic about it 😊

Anon, no one is "overlooking" Harvey's "crush" on Maru. There have been multiple reasons given. They're coworkers. They're friends. The town is dying and everyone else is paired off. Their only other options for certain events are people far older than them, secretly taken people, or drunks. Harvey mentions health stuff and his concerns frequently if you actually pay attention. Hell, Fiona Sangster did a very excellent video going over all of that bullshit when explaining their dynamics with each other and the rest of the town.

Harvey doesn't have a crush on Maru.

Also, not-so-fun-fact: Black people have a higher risk of skin cancer in the US and a small contributing factor for that is because sunscreens here aren't usually made with Black skin in mind unless you seek out specifically specialty screens.
