A/N: I hope you all enjoy!! This was a request from a friend !!

After the battle against Shang Tsung, the timelines were able to be at peace. There stood Liu kang, looking over the horizon of outworld, the same one he would see everyday for eons without getting bored or tired of it. He heard footsteps behind him, familiar footsteps of heels clicking against the ground, he knew who it was, but he wanted her to surprise him. She quickly tapped his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him, engaging in a long hug. He stared down at her, seeing a familiar face. It was Kitana..well Titan Kitana to be more precise. Liu Kang smiled gently, running his fingers through the strand of hair and moving it out of her face. She stared at him, smiling and leaning in for a kiss just for a long moment which he reciprocated. The kiss was long yet filled with obvious love andwarmth. “My Liu Kang, the timelines are stable now. I know, I shouldn’t be here for any reason but, would you like a cup of tea with me? one last time before I leave?” Kitana whispered to him, having a certain sweetness in her voice yet a hint of pure sadness dripping out. Liu Kang pondered for a moment, knowing she would need to leave soon but ultimately deciding to have one last moment just before she left. He held her hand as she walked him to a small area underneath a blooming tree, warm tea already set up for the pair.

They sat down on the ground, right next to each other as they sipped the warm, sweet tea and smelt the freshness in the air. It was peaceful, the two lovers sitting next to each other, loving one another’s company. Liu kang placed the tea down on the small table, and buried his head into Kitana’s chest, holding onto her and craving her touch. “My dear, I do not wish for you to go. I don’t want this to be the last time I see you. Why much out timelines keep us apart, keep us from being together forever. Why much the universe be like this.” Liu Kang stated to her, feeling hurt but he knew all the answers to his questions, he knew they couldn’t stay together forever and he knew that there timelines would fall apart without them both. Kitana stares down at Liu kang, cupping his face and kissing it deeply. She wanted to stay with him forever, but she couldn’t. She signed sadly, giving him one lady kiss goodbye. The kiss was long, and deep. They craved each others touch, and craved each other as Kitana soon went back to her timeline, leaving Liu kang alone. He sat there? Watching the sun completely set. His white eyes being apparent and noticeable as a few small tears filled them, he instantly wiped them away, knowing it was meant to happen, Yet, it still hurt him and made him sick knowing he wouldn’t be able to see his own true love again.

i understand that platonic relationships can be beautiful and people can say beautiful things to each other platonically

my au designs for 2012 april and casey, i hope u can tell by the way i draw him that i LOVE casey, SO much. also fem casey and donnie!!! they actually end up getting really close in my au (but they're still friends with april!! teen heartbreak drama yadda yadda, but as they age they're more chill. casey and donnie date, mayhaps.) ALSO i'm not a big big fan of the love triangle in the show, i'm excited to rewrite that bit in my au!! i'm a total sucker for slow burn and (rivals to) best friends to lovers.

also some human don, without glasses this time (PUT THEM BACK ON GIRL U LOOK NOTHING LIKE URSELF). my versions of case and don r both genderfluid ("aww, i kinda liked being a girl!" -casey in the show), and the flag was apparently made in 2012 LMAO, perfect.

anyway, no splinter redesign, because he's actually still a mutant rat in my AU! i've been collecting loads of lore and plot ideas, i would really love to commit to making a little comic out of my TMV au, since i have a YEARS long history of having ocs and doing nothing with them story wise (⁠@⁠_⁠@⁠) wanna break that habit!!! very excited to post more about that in the future.
