Working title/description: Crimson Flower

Synopsis: Alina had always been content to live her life in the village of Keramzin – a provincial village still beholden to the paganistic ways of old – and hopefully catch the eye of a certain Malyen Oretsev who unfortunately for her is more popular than she’d like. Her chance comes the Eve of the Midsummer festival when she has the opportunity to find the Fern Flower, a mythical flower that is fabled to bring prosperity and happiness to whoever is trying to find true love. However there are other forces at work in the village – namely, the brutal attacks that have left the victims drained of all blood, and the mysterious castle that sits perched on the cliffs overlooking the village. With tensions running higher and higher in Keramzin the more attacks there are, the village elders are forced to make a choice during the festival that will upend Alina’s life and force her to face who she is and what she really wants.

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like "this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol" when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every "classical" looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad
