How badly do you need to piss off the Lords, for Brackens to defect and join the same side as Blackwoods of their own free will?

I was reading a fic. It was an AU, so it very much varies from the original story, but the same characters and all, just a change in an incident happening. It's such a beautifully well written fic.

And one of the daily commenters, is this terribly rude person. The only comment they leave is pure hatred. They could just leave? But no comments on every single chapter, how terrible the writting style is, and manyyyy more things, I won't mention here. It's not just hate, it's full on harassment. They reported her acc on Tumblr, got her banned. She fully stopped writing on AO3.

Today I just clicked on their page, and I kid you not they are a writer themselves. A fic with OC. The story is so different from the original plot. The other characters only have the name, no personalities, no characteristics relating to the actual book characters.

Which is absolutely fine. Like you have your taste. Read or write whatever you want. Fine. What is fine not tho? Spreading hate to another person, who works hard just because they write something that you don't agree with. You are a writer, you know how it feels to get hate. If you don't like it or agree with it just leave. You don't have to bring down someone, so you can feel good about yourself. Some person you don't even know, has probably fully stopped writing just because you were an asshole. You are not cool, just terrible.

Hi I'm really sorry for the terrible comments you are getting. But I think it is mostly because House of the dragon is now canon. Which I get because people like you have being fans longer than hotd fans. Calling hotd fans terrible when you are the one making unnecessary rude comments and playing the victim Is just wrong.

If you like the show canon and believe it to be canon, FINE. But coming into my asks and leaving unnecessary asks is perfectly sane behaviour.

Aegon III/Daenaera named his son after Daenaera Velaryon's Daeron Velaryon. And the future Targaryens named Daeron's were named after KING Daeron I, not after some prince.

And before anyone opens their mouth, Daeron I is everyone’s namesake he existed in the story first, GRRM came up with Daeron I first.

The way some people would rather die than admit this, IT WAS THE GREENS THAT STARTED THE WAR, NOT THE BLACKS.

Even if you count usurpation a reclaiming of birthright rather than a declaration of war, it would still be the greens that started the war.

Both Alicent and Otto are recorded as being of the consequences that will soon follow. The usurper thought this was “a good beginning.” Even throwing Aemond a great feast for killing a child.
