thinking about how just fucking all of st is just a huge metaphor for what its like to be queer.

henry is queer. and hes labeled as other and a problem. his existence is shows as inherently wrong and dangerous. his very life is hurting the people around him and he is shown doing it maliciously.

he was a loner, othered and separated from everyone else and he snapped.

then he's treated like a freak of nature by brenner.

my personal theory is that vecna was the one to kidnap will and i can see this being for possibly being bc he saw himself in him maybe. wanting to save him in some twisted away from homophobia. this backfired ridiculously bc no one wants to be in the UD.

also the UD being a relfection of hawkins. a reflection of what life is like for queer people. the vines everywhere that you cant touch bc it will alert some dark power about you. the fact that its poison to be just exist outside. that theres legit monsters coming to attack you and rip you to shreds if you make a noise just bc ur there

and the fact that mike has been hiding from the UD. i made a post ab this a while back but hes one of the only ones not to go and i fucking cannot im so unwell
