HEY SO IM GOING TO ART CAMP

i have terrible taste in characters i know
im just
rooting for him
I never actually posted this here alfksjsjdns but this is my final animation from my two week summer course at SAIC It’s about male entitlement and being pressured into relationships
God this boy, this cinnomon angel baby, I cried reading through his text at the begining, because he’s so kind.
I’ve been reading through theories and fan opinions the other day and I was shocked to beleive that anybody could beleive this boy could even fathom malicious intentions
(I mean- I don’t mean to be sounding so harsh about this I’m sorry it’s not meant to be an attack on these theories I’m just showing my passion for Ralsei’s character)
So I know his initial story is INCREDIBLY suspicious- there are lots of holes to his plan, the gysers are never really explained, and the whole thing about him living alone down here is a little fishy. I beleive that something is wrong and we are being mislead. HOWEVER, I do not beleive it is Ralsei that is lying to us. I beleive he is just as much as a victem in all of this as we are.
The idea of him being this evil mastermind doesn’t at all match with his character. Ralsei is dopey, naive, and most of all NON VIOLENT
Why would Ralsei go through all of this effort in the story to stop Susie’s violent tendencies and spare every villain you meet just to have the entire world destroyed* (as some people beleive) once you close the gyser* (does it actually close?)
A huge argument for fantheories doubting Ralsei’s motivations is that his name is an anagram for Asriel, and since Asriel is technically Flowey he could be tricking you
But personally I beleive that this actually disproves its own argument- it shows that Ralsei may be mislead by someone, just as Asriel was by Chara
SO IN CONCLUSION
It is my beleif that people may be jumping to conclusions about Ralsei’s guiltiness- because it just doesn’t make sense in his character arc for him to be evil, and that just because he’s suspicious doesn’t mean he’s pulling the strings
