You can take one look at the Na’vi, glorify and obsesses over their fashion, over their hairstyles, arguably their facial features too, when this fictional race is very clearly inspired from not only African likeness, but also numerous indigenous groups across the world. At the end of the day the physical and even some of the cultural attributes you like about the Na’vi are in these different cultures and groups of people, yet you see no problem being disgusting and nasty to them and talk down to them just for being another skin color than you?? I had to ask myself “why is Ponyboy mentioning all the gun and all of the assistance from Dallas in the book (an English assignment that a teacher will read) but not to Jerry who Pony told everything to except that specific piece of information.”

Dally was still alive then. Pony didn’t want him to get into any trouble then.

Dallas is dead now. It’s fine if he brings it up in his essay because it can’t hurt Dallas now.
