Fanfic is a free hobby.

It's one of the last few things we can have as a society that's free. You can engage, for free. People give you things (art, stories, etc), for free.

Don't buy into the consummerism just because it's everywhere else.

You don't have to consume everything you interact with. You don't have to use things, just because they exist.

You're allowed (still, for now), to have things that are enjoyable for free.

Do you realise how insane the world is? We don't have many places where we can just be, for free anymore, but ao3 is. Did you notice we don't have ads in ao3? We don't have pop ups? Where ELSE do we not have that?

Where else can you just go and not have to wait for a commercial to be over or for ads to be on the sidelines?

I don't think the younger people understand, but the whole of internet used to be like this. YouTubers would do Youtube for free, just because. You couldn't monetise your internet presence before.

Ao3 is like a little preserved corner of the internet where the old internet used to be, and it's being attacked by people who do not understand that free things are allowed to exist without judgment.

Please don't ruin this for us.

🐍 Naga Centric Ideas 🐍

Techno being yoinked by naga sbi because he kept withdrawing from them but he actually has a fear of snakes.

Techno crying as he explains it and them hugging him but (notably) not letting him go. Instead promising they'll help him get over the fear.

Naga Phil having 3 bird sons and having cuteness aggression. He loves squeezing them and their instincts arent very happy about it.

Naga Techno yoinking zoologist Phil after bonding over their shared interest in snakes. Phil being mad but also not being able to stop admiring Techs snake features.

Naga emduo yoinking mouse hybrid Wilbur. One venemous and the other is a constrictor. He's terrified of them for different reasons and he just doesn't know what to do because there's no way he can even escape them.

Mafia hybrid AU where Techno is a naga and has to get his venom milked for certain kills. It's not very comfortable (since he has to get threatened enough to bite) and its dark hurt / comfort.

Adopted constrictor Techno feeling guilty about his love language (wrapping people up in his tail and gently squeezing) with SBI that keep trying to kinda trigger his instincts to do so.

Maybe a 3 times and 1 type deal? 3 times Techno was scared to squeeze and the 1 time he did? But like dark and kinda fluffy but mostly hurt/comfort.

Something with shifters. Snake shifter Wilbur maybe flicking between a different snake to bond with dsbi more on an instinctual level. Kinda started as a boredome thing but now he kinda gets it.

Naga Kristin with human sbi. Its a lot of her being possessive and using her height to her advantage. She gives them lots of hugs and manipulation but dont be fooled, theyre also dark. This ones mostly in my brain.
