AND WE'RE BACK!
Meet Fen Liu. Probably one of the most changed characters from the source material.
Liu was a throwaway line (and also a man) so I classify her as an original character. Liu starts the story as the maid of Gretchen and Alfred, who treat her as nothing but a servant.
Liu speaks English quite well, but chooses to speak only Chinese to spite Gretchen. She plans to take down the Byrnes family, take everything from them, and leads a group of other residents of Echo with the intent of taking down the people in power.
She becomes the leader of this group after something paranormal happens - because this is Echo, paranormal things happen all the time - which earns her a scar over the nose, newfound freedom, and also general plot relevance. She also gets an axe to protect herself.
Down with the patriarchy, thank you if you saw this and liked it.
And hereβs her second portrait
I did it. I watched all of them and it's not even the 25th yet

Meet one of the first original characters for the rewrite, Lillian Ivory. Lillian is hired by the mayor of Echo (who is a real character he just exists for five minutes) to investigate the paranormal happenings, and by extension the murder of Jack Abner.
She takes jurisdiction of the murder case away from William, causing the sheriff to go rogue. And also I wanna imagine fun scenarios for Todd to have with a character besides Will. And we need more than just two maybe three people investigating a murder.
This is also a little scene where an anonymous call tips Lillian off, while Todd, loser that he is, tries to listen to her like a child trying to eavesdrop on their parent's call.
I mean, it doesn't work out well. She tries to hide it from him because he'll probably blab, but he finds out anyway and tells Dimitri (miner guy) leading to the Stag getting absolutely raided and taken out of business.
I'll admit this is mostly because I hate the Stag because it is responsible for that one scene with Kane. Also a lot of characters don't have any traits outside of going there. I don't hate gay bars in general though, it's just this one specifically.
It's not over for the Stag though. It's still a perfectly good building. So it's taken over by the Stompers, who are basically just an anarchist group made up of every child in town, all teaming up to live independently from the adults in town. (NOTE: the image above doesn't picture Blithe, Andy and Melissa, but they are a part of the group too.)
Do you like the found family trope?
