another difference between early scenario kdj and late scenario kdj. i feel like this is very similar to his meeting with the outer gods in ngai's forest but his reaction here is so different. he is interacting with a removal slave in the horizon of the scenario btw
i have a really strong headcanon that kim dokja did fully have friends or at least people who were trying to be his friend pre-scenarios but his self hatred fully led to a goob from meet the robinsons situation where he ignored everyones attempts to get close to him. like i do think he generally had it really rough and didn't have many people who tried to reach out to him but going off of his interactions with yoo sangah we can assume that there were at least a few who he was dodging like bullets. kim dokja fully risked his job to move security cameras so they wouldnt catch yoo sangah pranking their bosses and she knows this and likes him because of it but he's still ah yoo sangah that perfect stranger why would she ever talk to me any time she tries to make conversation. you cant tell me there werent other similar situations throughout his life. it's just all those times there wasn't an apocalypse to keep them together and kim dokja succeeded in pushing them away
Everyone should give their OCs detailed childhood backstories and memories so that your OC isn't blanking out in the subway thinking if he was born as a fully formed 28 yo while a terrorist attack is actively happening
I've heard someone say kim dokja's ■■ parallels his name first introduced in the novel. I cant remember who anymore, or what exactly they wrote, but I do have some ideas of my own:
"Kim Dokja": an only child "Kim Dokja": a reader. His ■■ consists of two: Eternity and Epilogue.
Eternity, where he gets to be a lonely child in a subway. He is forever on this subway, forever strong; independent; self sufficient. He is the 'only child'.
And on this subway, he gets to spectate and see what every reader longs to see at the end of a beloved story: the characters live happily after years of tragedy, settling down as they maintain their found family dynamics for the rest of their lives. He is the 'reader'.
Epilogue, where this time, instead of watching the characters leave him to his own cold world, he goes on towards this new ending with them. He is no longer the 'reader', but instead a 'character' in the story with all the people he has ever loved. He has a new family now, one with his two lovely mothers, a dependable older brother to lean on (swk), not to mention the entirety of kim com & the other occasional constellations there to fill up their big house with chatter and laughter and warmth. He is definitely no longer an 'only child'.
To become 49% percent is to become someone who is neither a reader, nor an only child. To become 49% is to no longer be "Kim Dokja".
Read the webcomic again and decided to do some redraws for warmups (plus some originals).
bee and puppycat x orv
(uh oh kdj got fired.............)
KDJ's constellations were internet friends who said 'we should start a band when we meet up irl' and then they did and it worked. unfortunately SP left the friend group early to settle down and have a child 😔 but it's probably for the best he can't sing anyway
This sounds like fanfiction but it all actually happened
list of things that I constantly think about in orv:
HSY being based off the living breathing author Han Sun-Yeong.
Death of the author, but the author isn't dead she's very much alive, rather it's death of the audience.
Kim dokja being a complete Kim Namwoon hater but kind of taking in the character that is Nirvana and going "Wow Just Like Me Fr" :)
Every single segement about children in the apocalypse and ABFD who is especially noted to have age regression.
Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Namwoon agression and paranoia trust issues but also Kim Namwoon both fearing, respecting, and finally realizing he cared about him every time.
Myung Ilsang, 666 Yjh, Kim Namwoon chaos chunni club concoction.
Secretive Plotter's reactions to Myung Ilsang. How does it feel like to see a young guy who very much believes he's the main character outloud and Know all of that? how many times did you reach out to him? Kim Dokja didn't choose him but [Secretive Plotter remenbers].
The whole dragon segment where the dragons have an apocalyse scenario and the last dragon is usually always ABFD. Kim Dokja being told he doesn't actually count, because he really isn't actually dragon-born and just has a piece of a deceased dragon, also being scolded about how dragons are treated in stories lol.
Han Sooyoung clone and memory shenanigans!!!
Someone in the comment section of a site made the CUTEST uriel symbolic form crochet for the new orv chapter! I don't want to post it here because obviously, I didn't make it. Check it here and give it likes :<.
Thoughts about the chapter? the dokja simps are having a feast!
You might see fundraising posts with thousands of notes on your dash daily and think to yourself "this person must be doing fine!"
I wish that were true. I saw a post earlier referring to people with fundraisers as "those fortunate enough to have internet clout" but unfortunately internet clout is not a currency that can buy food and other necessities. It's only a testament to how much effort that person spends desperately networking in order to make ends meet, and often not succeeding at that. These people do not have an advantage.
I spotlight for @dr-anas96 and his posts consistently get a lot of notes. He's vetted here.
Here's an interview in English and Spanish he did for AJ+. and also here's a recent article about him in Spanish.
And where does that get him?
Anas is slowly dying of starvation and of his illnesses that he cannot currently get treated for. Don't be fooled by the amount of notes this will get. If you can spare a dollar please don't hesitate to donate here.
