Hamsa

Handwoven on my "trash loom" with cotton and acrylic fiber.

The Hamsa is a symbol of protection, popular in the Middle East and North Africa, in Jewish, Muslim, and Christian groups.

Fom the dowel to the bottom of the fringe it is 14 inches long, the tapestry itself is roughly 9 inches long and 7 inches wide. The dowel is 12 inches.

I was previously printing and shipping them myself but when my job switched to work from home I lost access to the office printer (lol). Because RJ Hill is my most popular comic, keeping up with the physical printing and shipping can be a bit much on top of having a full time job, especially when there's a sudden upsurge in interest. Dreamed that I was staying at a hotel that was similar to our apartment building in manhattan — old and funky. For some reason, Benedict Cumberbatch was staying in the hotel too.

I stepped out of my room to go have a cigarette. I was wearing my red long johns. I ran into Cumberbatch in the hall. He was also wearing red long johns. I congratulated him on his excellent fashion choices and he gave me a very nice hug.
