Come one, come all to the Zul’Gurub Farmers Market, debuting Fri-Sat at the Zul’Atal Summit on WrA-H, hosted by the Shadowtusk Clan!
What: A Horde-side (sorry, Alliance!) Farmers Market
Where: Uninstanced Zul’Gurub, Stranglethorn Vale.
When: Fri 11/12/21 and Sat 11/13/21 from 6ST-8ST, and every second weekend of every other month thereafter! (Miss this one? Next will be January!)
Why: To showcase all our talented characters who grow their own produce, tan their own leathers, weave their own robes, or have any other such talents!
As this market’s focus is on homegrown and homemade/handmade goods of a non-magical nature, this does sadly mean that folks who make magic-based items such as potions, trinkets, or enchantments can’t sell. It doesn’t mean you can’t sell your reagents (if you’ve grown them yourself), but we want to give the server something we haven’t yet seen, market-wise!

A boy named Skylar
You ever think about someone you'll probably never meet again?
A few days ago I couldn't stop thinking about an old friend I met back in 2010. He was a boy named Skylar, we met on Gaia Online and he used a female avatar and presented as a boy. At this time I knew nothing about being transgender and transitioning, so to me he was a girl who was crossdressing and insisting he was a boy... Everything in my life up to that point had lead me to believe that was how things worked, so even though I had a female avatar and I presented feminine, I insisted that I was a boy too, since I didn't know better.
I remember his favorite dinosaur was a pterodactyl, and I remember showing him Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx, the largest pterosaurs. I remember that he was a big fan of Tegan and Sara, and the song 'Back In Your Head' to this day still makes me think of him. I remember him showing me a drawing of one of them and me asking if that was him, and him saying "I wish!"
I remember feeling embarrassed when the topic of what I don't like about my body came up. I admitted to him that I had body hair and I felt so ashamed and embarrassed and uncomfortable with that fact, and he just laughed, not because of my agony but because it was such an innocent thing to be embarrassed by. Of course I had body hair, I was going through male puberty.
I remember we talked a lot over AOL and MSN, he explained being trans to me and that I could change my body through Hormone Replacement Therapy and suddenly everything just clicked. My bleak outlook on life changed to having a glimmer of hope, and from then on I was a girl, even if I didn't tell anyone and guarded it as my deepest darkest secret.
I remember him calling me cute whenever I'd roleplay giving him kisses and I remember developing a crush on him, and him rejecting me because I wasn't his type since he was gay and only attracted to men. I remember feeling sad and confused while also feeling validated because when I offered to be a boy for him, he told me no because he knew me better than to ever expect that.
I remember him helping me to pick a name, I ended up deciding on Sophie, and he suggested it be Sophia and I just go by Sophie. I was Sophie for years and years up until I finally actually went through with making the appointment to start HRT. Between then and when I finally decided I wanted to be Monica, I was Sophie online and my deadname in person.
I've lost all contact with him... I don't even remember what his username was or where I could look to find him. I'll probably never speak to him again, but he changed my life and I'm super grateful that I met him. I think about him a lot every once in a while and I really miss him. I can't help wondering how he's doing, I wish so badly I could see him again and show him how far I've come.
I'll probably never see him again, but I'll never forget him.

What is F4?
Did you miss Funky Town? How about all the divination and magical trinkets? Well, the wait is over! The Future Funk Fortune Festival, founded by Xepher K’awiil and Luminess Brightcoil, is back to celebrate fortune tellers from all walks and cultures across Azeroth. Their goal is to not only give the diviners of their community a chance to shine, but to give them a platform where they can share their methods and teachings for all who wish to hear. And the festival will end with a bombastic rave with future funk soundscapes from our live DJS! Check them out on twitch at officialschmo and slycon !!!
What are we looking for?
✨Fortune tellers of all kinds are welcome to apply for a booth. We seek to showcase the talents of the community and all the fascinating ways one chooses to roleplay divination. This is a festival dedicated to you, so come out to amaze the masses!
✨Want to share more with the world about fortune telling? We are holding 10-15 minute long Sooth Seminars throughout the festival. Example: lectures on one’s style of fortune telling, demonstrations for beginners, or a Q/A about mysticism.
Below are examples of fortune telling styles:
-Haruspicy, divination through analyzing the entrails of sacrificial animals
-Hydromancy, divination through water
-Oneiromancy, divination through dream interpretation
-Runecasting or Runic divination
-Scrying, divination by looking into mediums to detect messages or visions.
-Ceromancy, divination through patterns in melted or dripping wax
-Capnomancy or libanomancy, divination through the shapes formed in smoke
-Osteomancy, bone reading divination
-Conchomancy, divination through seashells
-Tasseomancy, divination that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee ground or wine sediments
✨ Merchants selling wares of mysticism, divinations, and items of that ilk are encouraged to apply. We want the festival to offer a wide variety of products of magical nature to the patrons. If you are unsure about your wares, do not hesitate to ask!
✨ And finally we have to have delectable food, tasty treats and refreshing drinks to sample throughout the festival. Food vendors of all kinds are welcomed to apply, though we have limited slots for such!

With Zandalari having officially joined the Horde two years ago, we are celebrating our third Atal’Zandali Dinosaur Parade on Wyrmrest Accord, March 13th, 2021 with opening ceremonies beginning at 5:00 PM (PST) server time! (War Mode: Off) The parade itself begins at 6 PM and will wrap up with the closing cermonies at 8PM, let us all make this year another epic reminder of the majesty of Zandalar!
Did a kind of experiment warping Ima’kuni’s face between more muzzle and less muzzle, just cause I felt like it. The one on the left is my idea of how she might look with an ordinary mogu face structure, the one in the middle is the one I actually drew, and the one on the right best represents what she was going for with her character’s design. I asked what she thought of this idea and she was intrigued, so I went ahead and messed around with it a bunch. ^^
Just finished drawing Raijin, the Menagerie’s official Speaker of the Rajani, riding atop his quilen, Zhao! He sought out the War-Goddess seeking to strengthen the ties between the Zandalari and the Mogu, and Panjya agreed; they have since fought the Mantid and the Black Empire together, and have grown to consider each other good allies and close friends.
This is Ima’kuni, one of the Menagerie’s resident Rajani mogu! She has had a history of being abused, so she is pretty reclusive and timid, but if you get to know her she is very sweet and an excellent ally.
Finished drawing Zu’s mount, Se’ze! Drawing these dinosaurs always takes a lot out of me, but I’m pleased with how she turned out. ^-^
This is Beastlord Owun'Jo, the lead dinomancer in Zuldazar Menagerie, second only to the War-Goddess. He is usually pretty grumpy, and with good reason; after failing in Pandaria he was exiled to Vol'dun, only to be rescued later on by his old comrade who rather than being exiled had been promoted to War-God, when he was the one more fit for the position.
I finally drew the beautiful and talented Windspeaker Zu’massirah; she’s the one who does most of the Menagerie’s paperwork and the War-Goddess Panjya’s closest friend, despite the two being Pa’kura and Raptari respectively. @bearicorn-arts
I just finished drawing my guildy, Tu'leesa. She’ll take just about anything and everything and skin it and turn it to jerky for you, she’s extremely resourceful; apparently she gets some of her best business with the Menagerie too, so she sticks around our little branch of the Beast Ward.
Definitely coming to this, hope to see lots of you there too! ^^

The summer season may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean the beach parities have to end! Ready to dance till the sun comes up? Sip on fresh fruit cocktails mixed with quality rum? Devour sweet morsels like coconut drops? Try a cup of sorrel tea? If yes, then do we have a party for you! LA MASQUERADE events proudly presents a night of Caribbean revelry under the stars. Come celebrate Reggae and Dancehall music with timeless classics and new favorites. The party will go off at Miju’s Retreat, a secluded island off the coast of Zuldazar. So let’s get together and feel alright~
🥥 Caribbean Music: Jamaica
Jamaican folk music called Mento emerged in the 1940s and 1950s. Mento strongly influenced the birth of Ska and Rocksteady in Jamaican during the the late 50s into the 60s respectively. The two genres developed into Reggae during the late 60s and became known for its limitless flexibility. In 1965, Bob Marley and the Wailers released their debut studio album The Wailing Wailers. The album contained the single “One Love/People Get Ready”, the song was popular worldwide and established the group as a rising figure in Reggae. In 1968, the following records were released and considered legends in Reggae: “Nanny Goat” by Larry Marshall, “Do the Reggay” by Toots and the Maytals, “No More Heartaches” by The Beltones.
In the 1970s, Dancehall was born and became a more sparse version of Reggae than the roots style which dominated the Jamaican music scene. In the mid-1980s, digital instrumentation became more prevalent, changing the sound considerably, with digital Dancehall becoming increasingly characterized by faster rhythms. Key elements of Dancehall music include its extensive use of Jamaican Patois rather than Jamaican standard English and a focus on the track instrumentals or “riddims”. The popularity of Dancehall has spawned dance moves that made stage performances more energetic. Many dance moves seen in Hip Hop videos are actually variations of Dancehall dances.

I would like to announce that Zuldazar Menagerie will be celebrating our second anniversary today, November 10th at 7:00 PM WrA server time! There will be food, drinks, dancing, and in honor of our second year we now have a guild ship, where the partying will take place! The OOC location will be aboard the Rezan's Claw docked at Tusk Isle; the IC location is aboard our as-of-yet unnamed guild ship! I drew this with paper and pencil, then scanned it and digitally added text and colored it.
