remembering my summer-internship-time at the Observatoire Océanologique de Banyuls-Sur-Mer

I finished my undergrad in the beginning of June and am starting with masters in September, so I am using the summer to travel a bit :) In the next posts I will share some impressions from my drawing diary, this is the first one from a trip to southern France (Frontignan). Just found my old sketchbook - I tried to work with watercolour last year.

Passiflora caerulea watercolour illustration  This beautiful blue passionflower plant grew right in front of our tent in France - what a good time that was! 

Arrived safe & sound in Cambridge! America is crazy, but I think we are on good terms. The sheer amount of cookie choices in the supermarket is probably one of the more important reasons for that. 

My best friend and I also traveled to China this summer :) This is a sketch I made on our trip to the Great Wall, we hiked from the Mutianyu section towards the wilder part in Jiankou. It was super hot and tiring but the views were incredible and absolutely worth it! We both really loved the day, it's definitely one of those memories that you keep forever.
