j and arturo's parallels. j being raised in a home that only cares about outward appearances, j wanting to break away and be more than that, to be their own person. j recognising how unhealthy their mother is.

vs arturo, who only cares about outside appearances and would probably literally sell his kidney to have a family like j's.

like im not going to pretend arturo is dumb or just misguided, there's no way he thinks j's family would (mentally) be healthy.

but he doesn't care. his unhealthy para social relationship with mariabella and all celebrities in general is too intense for him to even care.

he probably used gossip magazines/celeb culture as a get away when growing up, leading to his coping mech spiralling into an obsession.

arturo literally cant understand why j doesn't think the same as him. he makes so many assumptions about their life despite being angry when j proceeds to assume that he directly harmed his sister.

they make me so sick i need to stufdy them under a microscope.

veronika wanting to psychologically dissect people she meets and likes, wanting to analyse their personality and brain.

vs arturo only wanting to focus on the outside, to enhance the physical beauty of those he admires.
