(aka: Born To Die)
The forest around her was still, holding its breath as she lined up her shot, the tree standing strong and silent before her. She inhaled deeply, her senses sharpening—the crisp scent of pine, the gentle rustle of leaves, the distant call of a bird. She drew back the string, focusing intently, when—
“Eloise Bridgerton.”
Eloise cursed under her breath as her arrow flew through the air, a flash of wood and feathers, before piercing the bark of her intended target.
The forest seemed to exhale around her.
“Go on, then,” she said, turning to face her brother. “Chastise me.”

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Bridgerton (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Eloise Bridgerton/Theo Sharpe, Eloise Bridgerton & Cressida Cowper, Eloise Bridgerton & Penelope Featherington Characters: Eloise Bridgerton, Theo Sharpe, Cressida Cowper, Penelope Featherington, Lady Whistledown (Bridgerton), Lord Cowper (Bridgerton) Additional Tags: Courtroom Drama, Bridgerton (TV) Season 3, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence Summary:
The Highwayman struck again, this time robbing Lord and Lady Cowper. The police arrest a suspect and the public want to see The Highwayman hang for his crimes.
Eloise can’t watch him hang. She’d rather tie the noose around her own neck.
This scene occurs the morning after Anthony's "failed nuptials"...and also the morning after Eloise confessed her feelings to Theo and he set aside books for her to "share her thoughts on". I can't help but wonder if the book she's reading here is one of the books he set aside for her?
This scene follows immediately after, and it's obvious she's on her way to meet Theo (my girl's practically skipping lol). Perhaps she wanted to meet Theo and "share her thoughts" on the book she was reading? The book that he gave her?
Here's a snippet of the final chapter of my WIP: The Manuscript! Planning on posting later today.

“i don’t know why people think it isn’t helly. it’s helly.” adam scott being totally done with all the nonsensical takes is why i love him (x)
A ship dynamic I find interesting is super protective x super reckless.
The reckless one doesn't care about throwing themself into danger, because they just know that their partner will always be there to protect them from anything bad that could happen to them.
Can lead to a situation in which their partner simply can't be there to save them in time or is very late to do it, so they finally realize that they're also hurting their partner by putting themself constantly in dangerous situations.

“He feels inadequate seeing her like this – the last couple of weeks he has been able to almost forget the invisible ocean that exists between them. Now he is too aware of his shabby clothes and his ink-stained hands. Eloise is lovelier than any flower he has seen. And she would probably roll her eyes if he were to say so out loud.”
The Fine Print by theloise
post-canon-ish(?), rated G, oneshot collection
“Sometimes, Benedict cannot help but miss the little girl who used to chase him through the halls of Bridgerton House -- the tiny, blue-eyed baby who pulled incessantly at his hair. But Eloise is more than that now; her heart beats large, and open, and wide. And it has expanded to include -- of all people -- a poor, radical printer's apprentice.
And he cannot stop it. He does not want to stop it.
