Full Snow Moon

The Full Snow Moon reaches its peak at 2:34 AM EST on Sunday, February 9 in Leo. The name for this moon is pretty straightforward - on average, February sees the most snow in the U.S. For those in more southern regions, other names include: the Quickening Moon, Hunger Moon, and Tree Moon. 

Deep in he heart of winter, February brings a sense of restless longing. A hunger forms in the heart for the warming of spring. This is a month when the first stirrings of life are quickening in the earth, but still too dormant to see.
